Marc's been unusually silent for awhile now, so he must be cooking up something big. :)

Thanks for your worries about PeStudio... :)
As a matter of fact, I am working on a new (resizeable) UI allowing to open multiple files at the same time. Update should be available soon...

    Awesome.

We had a feeling the absence was an indication of even more project improvements you been working on.

@EASTER: yeah, being able to load multiple images will allow many new features (e.g. comparing files, etc...) and show more details (e.g Certificates, Hex view, Graphics, Entropy, etc...).

Updates will be posted on the Twitter of PeStudio: https://twitter.com/ochsenmeier

    Marc it sounds very good.

I will be sending today additional files, which cause the crash Pestudio. I had before send, but now I have more files :)

@ELWIS1: Thanks for the samples. The bug is now fixed. The next version of PeStudio with the new UI will contain the fix.

Just checked and noticed 7.3.7, when was that released? Looks about a week ago on modified date timestamp and at least 2 days old according to Wayback Machine.

It wasn't mentioned in the thread, and I am curious on when 7.3.7 was released. That's all, sorry for the confusion (which was basically looking at the date of file properties and using this website).

PeStudio 7.38 has just been updated.

It has a new (resizeabe) UI and can open many PE files. I guess there will be a few bugs because of the transition to this new UI. But loading many files will offer a huge potential (e.g. comparing files, showing more details, etc..).

Loading the files must also be implemented in several threads to increase performance, etc... Currently this takes place in the main thread. Thanks for your patience...

Don't hesitate to contact me for any issue (idea) regarding PeStudio. Thanks!

    The PEStudioSettings.xml isn't working properly, like <default_view>1</default_view>.

@J_L: thanks. Yeah, there are several issues with the new UI (e.g. context-menu). This will be fixed in the next version.

@J_L: PeStudio 7.41 now handles the desired "default_view" as set in PEStudioSettings.xml. Added more details about the images being analyzed as well as Red/Green flag coloring of the VirusTotal scoring

Thanks, great job! Had to extract to a new folder though, cause overwriting somehow left remnants that stopped it from opening.
