Well, it is quite logical not to use software you do not like though.

 

The product it's one thing, the company's manner it's another........imho.

but for BDAV FREE, this file is SAFE today (BDAV updated) !!

I'm no computer programmer but how hard can it be to correct one button?

 

Pretty hard if you don't give a ~ Snipped as per TOS ~.

 

That, and it also makes me think that things are a bit out of control internally within the software too.. This is simple stuff that should just work...

 

Can't even give us a changelog for each version ffs.

 

anything new with BD Av free? Im thinking about changing out Panda Cloud on some of my family members computers. Some of their computers are slower and PCA works good.


are all the bugs worked out? does it have popup ad's still?

 

Working fine on my parents computer for 3 weeks. Don't know about popups, but you get top 2-3 of all AV's protection, gotta like it.

 

It still seems to be buggy. I tried installing it a few days ago, and the GUI would say the last update was one 1/1/1970 or something. It seems like the logs button issue is still present for some users, developers post changelogs whenever they feel like it, and some are also reporting lower protection compared to the paid version, so it's hard to tell just how good this product really is.
And of course, it still automatically quarantines files.

It doesn't seem like BitDefender cares much about this product and has assigned it to a very small and low-budget development team.

The only good thing about this program is the web filter, which you can get via TrafficLight. I'd say you get TrafficLight and look for some other Free AV.

 

I've put BD antivirus free on a few PC's owned by friends or family, they all say it is either 'too buggy' or 'too heavy', this is their opinion not mine.

 

I've been using Bitdefender Free since Dec and only had the logs button issue a few releases ago. I have it running on 5 pc's and it is running great. The Web Filter is great and it's running terrific with Comodo using the Fw and Autosandbox.

Well I've had no problems or complaints from anyone that uses it. The only problem I've experienced is the Logs button, though that is starting to tick me off that such a (seemingly) simple problem hasn't been fixed yet

 

I've been using Bitdefender free for the past week and I have had no problems at all, that is my experience.

 

No problem here.

 

If someone is having problems with BD Free, update your copy.

 

Bitdefender should make the free AV open source then somebody could fix the issues with the LOGS button.
