    Hi moxxey

OK, thanks for the explanation...I think I get it. I suppose the question will be is what they will offer existing 3 PC license holder of KIS when they come to renew (mine is up for renewal in the next month). :doubt:

This does work - upgraded from the 2013 to 2014 version without any problems.

    Firefox problems with KIS 2014

    1. Can't install Kaspersky Certificate for secure connections-- says firefox is running when it wasn't. Even disabled FF and rebooted but KIS 2014 says can't install Cert cuz FF is running.

    2. Cannot use Google -- get an error page that says " An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com.

Peer's certificate has an invalid signature.

    (Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)

I can use Google on IE10

I understand the release notes say KIS 2014 is only updated for FF up to 19(I thought 2014 was supposed to bring it up to FF22) and I thought that only applied to browser plug ins.

Can't access my email = fastmail -- with FF

get the same "An error occurred during a connection to ..................

Peer's certificate has an invalid signature.

    (Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)

Is this cuz I can't inatall the KIS Certificate on FF23 cua KIS ALWAYS says Fire Fox is running.

Screw it=going back to my BD trial.

Are there any compatibility problems between IE10 enhanced protected mode (also IE 10 metro) and Kaspersky 2014?

Been looking around and what is really interesting is that if you download from ___.download.com the version is: kis2014_14.0.0.4651EN_4710 whereas if you get it from ___.downloadcrew.com the version is: kis2014_14.0.0.4651EN_4717

Different versions? Perhaps only minor differences but different objects still!

EDIT: Have just checked MajorGeeks which describes the build it is offering as ' Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 14.0.0.4651 Final ' but if you download the setup is for kis2014_14.0.0.4651EN_4717...so things are moving briskly

Those are the same program versions, but one setup file has a more up-to-date database... guess which one? ;)

Our links came via Kaspersky who emailed us the URLs and PAD files, this morning.

These are the US English builds.

KIS 2014 has apparently permanently messed up my Firefox

    FYI

I had installed it earlier. Tried to install the Kas Certificate for secure connections. KIS 2014 repeatedly said it could not install the cert. because my FF was running which it was not. FF then could not use google search or allow me to access my email site.

    I uninstalled kis 2014

Now with FF i am repeatedly getting can't connect errors from various sites apparently at random. I reinstalled FF - not a clean install -- but the usual upgrade install

I think KIS 2014 is seriously bugged

Stay away if you are using FF 23

After fourth failed attempt to post this with FF I am using IE10 to try to post this--got an error message from FF that it could not connect with wilders. Was Wilders offline at all?

UPDATE FF is now letting me access Wilders

Yes I was able to install the cert manually. The automatic installation did not work for firefox 23.
So when you are prompted "can not install the cer for firefox. The browser is currently running", select "install the cert manually according to guide" and follow instructions.

Interesting. Anyone installed this version? If so, what's the build number after installation? I mean, when you right click the "K" and select "about".

If you downloaded from kaspersky official site, you got build 4651. after installation, you got a large download in update, which push the number to build 4651(a).

Thank you for the download link. The 4710 download link is

When I change 4710 to 4717, it said that the file does not exist.

Now, it is clear that 4717 was from a slightly different location

PS: After download, I found that both 4710 and 4717 are of the same size 244,713,280 bytes. Both are signed on 3 Jul 2013 and all files are dated 17 June 2013.

4717 does not have a newer signature base. Both 4710 and 4717 are the same in size and components, only a difference in name.

It's probably just used to track where people were getting their downloads from, no?

Yes, most likely. I think this is a Digital River tracking link as the links are provided by Kaspersky, via DR.

Funny how much debating we have over a minor version difference, from the same source!
