I had been using the latest ESS version 5 series on my Win 7x64 machine. Worked perfect!!!!!

I let version 6 go through many updates, and finally I said time to upgrade to version 6.

The UPGRADE went terrible. It told me to reboot, and the installation would continue. I would get half an installation, half the program running, just a wild mess.

Finally I did the special uninstall tool. Did a fresh ESS 6 install and got it working.

    BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT BIG NEW PROBLEM now.

Now after my machine boots, the internet is delayed. Startup programs aren't getting the internet they need. Ever after everything is booted up, it takes a couple minutes for the internet to be active. Never NEVER a problem like this with version 5.

What is going on? Is there some option I can change? It is such a nuisance, and I hope I do NOT HEAR that it's a new safety feature.

My machine is very fast, an I7 with 8GB and a SSD drive. Speed is NOT the issue either.

    Please help.

Does changing firewall integration to "Only scan application protocols" in the advanced setup make a difference? If it does, change it back to "All features active", enable logging of blocked connections in the IDS setup and restart the computer. If the issue occurs, check the firewall log for more information about blocked connections and post the recent records here.

My internet gets delayed too, takes 1min or more after eset and windows xp sp3 has loaded up for the lan to load, if i try and run a broser sometimes it will hang, i tried your suggestion's even tried disabling the firewall completely made no difference, the only entry that eset was blocking in the firewall logs was this one
    Code:
08/08/2013 02:19:40	Communication denied by rule	192.168.1.2:1051	239.255.255.250:1900	UDP	Block outgoing SSDP (UPNP) requests for svchost.exe	C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe	NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
I also have become aware of another issue, the SSL scanning isnt working at all with ie7 or firefox 23 don't know if this is connected to this issue though , thing is until the modules where updated/broken the ssl issue wasn't present , as for the delayed lan driver loading for the internet connection i don't know as my pc has been online for the past 2 weeks
    Code:
24/07/2013 14:18:00	ESET Kernel	The program modules have been updated.
But i do know one thing i'm getting sick of all these issues problem after problem ever since v4, and there is no way on this planet that i would pay the eset Retail price for a product with all these issues that crop up for no reason other than bad coding

Changing to "Only scan application protocols" made no difference and all.

So I am changing that option back to default, and will enable a log now and post back.
