I stopped using the MVPS Hosts file several years ago, but I do not remember why I stopped using it.

Full of incompatibilities with JS/CSS widgets on many sites and legit non-ad images.

Submitting fixes with proof to the author resulted in no fixes.

    Those were my reasons.

Still rocking Comodo Internet Security. Using a custom config which imo makes it bullet proof. :)

I always seem to come back to Avast! so I bought myself an AIS license and 'composed' this security configuration for both my Desktop and my Ultrabook:

    Win7 x64, UAC Disabled
Realtime: WinPatrol PLUS / Avast Internet Security
On demand / scheduled: MBAM Pro, Filehippo UC, SpywareBlaster, Macrium Reflect
FF with WOT, Disconnect, HitmanPro.Alert, AdBlock Plus, LastPass, BetterPrivacy, Avast! Online Security, OpenDNS

Running light. Banking through SafeZone Browser.
Any improvements are welcome, of course :)

FYI, ESET doesn't use yearly numbers, "2012, 2013, 2014 etc..." so I hope and guess that you mean ESET V6 or V7? Or else you might have installed a rogue AV :)
