Try to run as little real-time stuff as possible. Things like Antivirus's, antimalware's, etc. Make sure you have other protections in place though.

Internet Security / AV+WindowsFW. Any AV or IS works, don't add anything else.

I recommend Appguard although for some games it can cause issues when it blocks execution from Appdata/Local/Temp or ProgramData...

As an example Appguard interferes when opening the auction house in Guildwars 2 because the process responsible for it is started from Appdata/Local/Temp...

But besides These Little issues I would highly recommend it not only for gaming purposes. It is an excellent program Overall which Needs very Little ressources and doesn't bother you with scans and all that s h i t.:thumb:

I use Appguard with Sandbox, have excluded Sandbox folder from Appguard so it wont interfere with programs/games installed into different Sandbox folder's. I think it works nicely :)

EAM + SBIE is good combination. I wouldn't change much.

Good advice. I play a lot of games and it took me a while to figure this out. A good system image plan can also make a difference in how much you need to be running real time.

The EMET advice is good, i've encountered problems with some games due to EMET.
