Alright I did some deep investigation and found a registry key wrongly configured to qihoo firewall rule and deleted it and installed Qihoo on host.

Guess what...it did the trick...I am now up to date :thumb:

Sophos and Trend Micro also are almost impossible to install if any previous AV was on the system. Never realized that Kaspersky suffered from that issue.

Excellent! Try it if you can with Comodo Firewall. They really work very well together.

I actually had lost hope for a while LOL..but anyway I will pair this up with CFW for now. :D

I am suprised by the light memory usage..really..BD engine + 2 engines still light.Amazing!

    I give this thing a A++

And to just say,I only say this to good softs:
    "This Is It."

This is certainly great stuff..and its going to get better.AV-C already proves it,so my tests dont matter,I like the flat alerts from proactive defense it forces a average user pretty much without giving much time to press block button, this is a kind of "default deny" I like IMO :)

I think after trying some great free stuff like Avast,CIS,BD free,Avira free (not quite).I guess this is going to be one of the competition.

But Now I can proudly say:
'Best things in life are free."

Hmm...this is funny, proactive Defense allowed a malware executable to stabilize as a startup item.

This is odd,as it blocked more than 1 malware files from stabilizing as startup item but left this one in.Fun Fun!!

Oh wait..wait...wait a minute!! I rebooted the VM and now it seems the 360 Cloud engine has picked the missed malware up and deleted it.

It looks like cloud is very responsive! :) :D

btw,how many DB qihoo releases in a day? from here,it looks like it updated twice or thrice after the install.

The cloud engine is Avira isn't it? If so that makes 360 the best of both worlds with BD and Avira. :)

Qihoo 360 Security is in my camp now long since set and forget qualified. Wonderful feat of windows security software engineering. Triple kill AV protection and undergirded along with a very formidable Proactive Defense that recently surprised me with it's instant tracking of all external media too.

The cloud engine is Qihoo's own, the Avira database is only included in the Chinese version and the version discussed within this thread uses Bitdefender the cloud and also the QVM heuristics engine.

Usually once for the BD definitions, sometime twice and the cloud is always up to date:)

Does Q360 have a webshield? I tried it briefly in a vm and it ran great, I was impressed. But I can't remember if it had web protection.

I've never seen its web guard catch anything, though. Have you guys?

Not yet but that would be due to my safe browsing habits, I have had the proactive protection module pipe up a few times though and a scan on one of my systems discovered that the HelpPane.exe file had been tampered with and smartly fixed it and cured the help and support freezing issue I had been having for the last year and couldn't solve :D

I think he/she means during the "testing" of the product. And not during normal browsing.

So heres my question. I`m using this suit again eith sandboxie and im really liking it. But since the BD databsse only updates 1-2 times a day does that mean were only getting say 50% of BD`s sigs for that day or does 360 somehoe just push a massive uodate?
