I am also using WSA(IS version),plus Avast free.I installed 360 but disabled Avast & even had all 3 going without a problem.Don't want 3 antivirus' so i'm trying to see which one i want to replace WSA(i found an unopened one for $3 in a thrift shop)when it expires in 6 months. That's plenty of time, but i like to do research early.
I have a custom theme that has the explorer.exe among other files altered & 360 picks them up & i have to white list 40 files manually. Also you have to manually update the Bitdefender engine & is a little heavier on memory(4 processors running) than the other ones i tried(Kingsoft,Baidu). This one is better though.I uninstalled 360 for now.I'll check on it again in the near future.

You should perhaps report them to Qihoo.

    It updates automatically by default.

For those that may be interested (and definitely for those who think this company is a small time operation), Qihoo just bought the search business from another Chinese Internet company (Sohu) for 1.2 billion USD. Last year they had less than 1% of the Chinese search market; with this acquisition it will be about 25%.

I only hope that they don't get sidetracked and keep developing a surprisingly excellent product.

Yeah I tried it out yesterday and I was impressed. Can 360 run with Comodo firewall and d+ if 360's proactive protection is switched off?

Hi Zero!- Personally I haven't tried that, but I can't see that any problem would arise. I personally have it in combo with the SEP firewall component, but I'll check it out and let you know soonest.

I just did a quickie with some trojans and ransomware. Things seem to be working- you get both the CIS Sandbox alert as well as the Q detection popup- but the system feels a bit gloopy. I'll keep this combination temporarily permanent for a bit and report as samples come across over at MT.

""WSA lording over all outbound connections""

That's one of the many reasons I removed it from my computer, if you think it stops outbound or should I say blocked ones it sure didn't for me, hope you have better luck:thumbd:

I've been giving Q360 a workout combined with Comodo Firewall as per ZeroDay's (as it turned out) excellent suggestion. The Proactive Protection of Qihoo was turned off and CF was installed at default, except the AutoSanbox was at my recommended setting of Full Virtualization.

Without going into specifics (Board Policy), I was pleasantly surprised that the Cloud functionality of Comodo Firewall, which is enabled by default, did pick up malware samples from the few that Q360 left behind. This combines with CF at Full V left the system totally clean and happy without any spawned daughters or other residua after reboot or direct sandbox clean.

I had noted yesterday that the computer seemed a bit off with this combination installed. After today's testing I feel that my perception yesterday was less a function of the Anti-malware combo and more a function of the 2 large cups of Lapsang Souchong tea that I drank apparently much too quickly.

Thanks Gillor. Sorry I didnt read all the earlier posts.

I was actually trying to install 360 with SD mode off. I will try installing 360 first before sd, as suggested.

Settings -- Antivirus -- Protection Level -- Medium or High?

    What recommended?

    Thanks.

Now this AV covers protection for all user accounts on a computer, right?

I really like this AV, very light, 3 engines. Was just trying it out with AppGuard on one of my computers. Might just keep it.

I think 360 IS is not solid protection for 64bit win 7. I just ran 2 tests on a virtual machine with a bunch of malware links and some malware pack both tweaked and default set in win 7 64bit and the result were not good as I thought.
