    Mohamed,

I can't speak for the other apps but IFL supports WiFi with WPA security.

image for linux can restore a solid state disk image created to another solid state disk os w7?
you know w7 create a partition about 100mb

should i enable some option before the restore or does image for linux in the restore creates the reserved zone partition and so on?

by the way is easy to install BootIt® Bare Metal in a usb stick?

    thanks Brian

    mantra,

    Sure. That's standard. Nothing special.

You can prevent this partition from being created by installing Win7 into a partition.

If you have a SRP and a Win7 partition then you need to restore both partitions if you are changing HDs or SSDs.

Same method as creating a BIBM CD.

    thanks Brian

is there an utility to backup an usb stick ?

i liked USB Flash Tools v2.10 but can not find it anymore

i would like to backup and maybe restore without using Bibm usb creator

because i would need the usb stick to use for another program or data

    thanks

I use IFW to backup and restore UFDs. Backup the Entire Drive, not just the partition on the UFD.

If you don't have IFW you can use IFL or IFD.

Just create an ISO with the BIBM usb creator. Then use YUMI with the "Try an Unlisted ISO option" to add BIBM's iso to its bootlist.

Today, I made an Image of only the Windows 8 partition. The Image file is showing up in both Image for Linux and Windows 8 Explorer. 'Maybe' the firmware flash fixed the hard drive problem.

do you mean deleting the 100mb reserved zone or resize the for example 100Gb to 80Gb is not dangerous?

w7 or w8 will work without a problem after the changes?

in 2 hard disk i create some paritions with disk director acronis (xp partition type) can i use BootIt BM without change these partition or loose these partition ?

    thanks

I've done it many times. So many that I wrote a batch file to do it automatically.

    http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/kb/article.php?id=409

Resizing (or sliding) Win7 or Win8. Easy. No problems. Copying Win7 or Win8 to another HD in your system, no problem.

If you are using BIBM with unlimited primaries you shouldn't use any other imaging app as you risk deleting partitions. But I don't think that's what you asked. I wouldn't trust Acronis Disk Director. I've seen it create some "strange" partition issues.

No risk, BIBM should work fine. It can even correct any partition errors.

When working with WinXP type partitions, select Cylinder Aligned in BIBM Settings. Vista, Win7 and Win8 use 2048 Sector Aligned partitions. But all OS can work with data partitions of either type.

About 10 years ago I experienced a power blackout while resizing. Otherwise I haven't had any problems.

Resizing smaller can be time consuming depending on how much data needs to be moved.
