Thanks , I remember this as well but thought it applied to the last update not nec every new release. Besides not everyone reads the forum so for those who do not a reminder, if nec, should be included in the e-mail notification. I doubt that every modification to the program would necessitate a new recover disk so thats why I asked.

    Hello,

How did you sign up for this e-mail notification? I am thinking since I have a complimentary license and do not get any e-mail notification, that you must have purchased your license and at time of sale your e-mail was registered. I ask as I do not see anywhere on the website to register for a newsletter/e-mail notifications...

Isso mentioned that many do not elect to get e-mail notification when they register their software (which you must have done sometime). I am not sure how to get on the e-mail list if you are not already on it but I suspect an e-mail to Isso at the support address asking to be added would do the trick.

    Thanks bgoodman4,

I personally have not registered my software. I received a complimentary license for beta testing the software. I assume Isso must have registered it when he sent it to me. I supplied my name and email address but he must not have put me on the e-mail notification/newsletter list. I will check with him to see if there is either something that I must do to register my software and get added to the e-mail notification/newsletter list. Thank you for your reply.

Isso sent me an IM with the key, and when I installed AX64 I typed the key in the appropriate place.

I have been playing around with 1111 today just on the system disk and it works ok. However I think I may have found a conflict.

I have also been playing with VoodooShield
    http://www.voodooshield.com/
and seems when I install it then it freezes AX. When I uninstall VS then I can do a backup again.
There is a thread on Wilders here
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=313706&page=63

    Perhaps someone could qualify this.
I will mention it on VS

Still when AX freezes it will not come out of memory and prevents the computer shutting down.

    guest,

I've just updated our website with version 1.2.1117 which fixes this issue. Please download from www.ax64.com and install over your current installation.

noons, please update too. Thank you

The users of Windows 8 with GPT partitions - please update. The rest can continue using the version 1111/1112.

    bgoodman,

This time you can keep your old recovery media, as none of the changes affect it.

    Thank you twl845,

You are right, we'll do that some day. In this age of electronic communications still face-to-face meetings play important role.

Worked like a charm. Thanks for fixing this so quickly! :thumb:

On another off-topic note I really wonder if I should have made the jump to efi / gpt so quickly. I guess I was excited for the speed increase, but with all the software issues (not with ax64 just in general especially with multibooting) not sure it was worth it..

Isso, there is a msg from "Dominic" on your feedback page that looks pretty serious... concerning the loss of previous backup chains.

I would test but am on the road with the tablet... FYI!

    guest,

Error 38 means the program cannot format the USB stick. Please make sure it's writable, also make sure no security software blocks AX64.

For ISO - please upload it somewhere, then create a ticket and include the link into it. Thank you
