I would try both. They cover different layers. If there will be compatibility issues then I would use AppGuard as its a very decent HIPS.

Yeah, I'm actually in the process of testing both right now.

They both seem to be running fine for the time being, but we shall see.

If something does go wrong, then I'll add EMET to PowerApps and then give full read/write permissions under MemoryGuard, in hopes that might do the trick.

The only thing about AppGuard, is that I always feel like I'm adding thing's to it's configurations that shouldn't be added.

You should also try HitmanPro.Alert, 1 process, takes 2MB of Ram and it silently protects you...I highly recommend it.

    BTW, Love your combo :thumb:

How is Bitdefender behaving? Any slowdowns after it caches?

  6. ArcaVir Internet Security 2013, realtime protection disabled, I'm using only firewall.

There are far better products if you use only firewall. ;)

For Sandboxie users....version 4.04 is out!

This bug fix release addresses several issues that were reported shortly after the release of version 4.02.
    No details are provided.

TyRidian, I would go for EMET. As mentioned, they cover different things. Appguard is sort of a hybrid HIPS and sandboxing program. IMO, use either Appguard or (ERP and Sandboxie). EMET prevents various exploits that aren't really covered by the other programs per say. EMET will help prevent things from breaking out of Sandboxie and evading ERP.

I'm still running ERP, Sandboxie and EMET + Windows 8 Security Protections.

I'm just having some fun testing out new builds, thankfully I have a test machine to do that on :D :thumb:

Should I give EMET a try with my setup? Do I need it? Will it conflict?

It depends on if you take the "who cares if my computer gets infected, I can restore it with a reboot thanks to Shadow Defender" point of view or if you want to try to keep everything out. Solid setup though :thumb:

Any reason you need HitmanPro.Alert if you use NoScript?

I thought NS didn't protect against all the banking trojans that HitmanPro.Alert would alert for. Does it?
