The main question is, why even perform constant on-demand tasks with a program that has real-time capabilities. Just to detect passive stuff that's just residing on HDD/SSD ? Pointless grinding and wearing of storage mediums, if you ask me.

    LOGS button not working again

It's an annoyance to log off my user account and back on again just to get the LOGS button to work.

I agree with RejZor... the constant unnecessary scanning and the apparently never ending appearance of various bugs unfortunately keeps me from using BD Free. Not to mention the annoying (unnecessary) "Messages" (ads). And after waiting over 6 months now, I'm not sure it will ever improve..

Who really cares about Logs?? I just want good protection and something that won't mess up my computer.

Well the Logs button is how you get to the quarantine, so it is an issue if it quarantines legit files and you can't get to them to restore them.

I'd call that a design flaw.

@Kerodo: You still have hope? Patient fellow, aren't you? :D

You can pause the auto-scan feature forever and I am not seeing any messages or ads, well I did, but only for one session in my computer and that was like 3 - 4 days ago. About the bugs, I have also some problems in the logs button, sometimes working, sometimes not.

    Bitdefender Free Has Improved Scanner

You can now perform a full system scan (Hard drive scan) by opening the context menu of the tray icon. This product is now complete. :)

Still doesnt give the option in how to handle detected threats. To me no product will be "complete" without it:p

The only ad I've seen was for Android protection, and that was over a week ago. No other instances for me. As for bugs, all programs will have bugs. Just give the developers time to fix it.

I think we won't get such an option, you have to live with autoquarantine or use another AV. :D

If something gets quarantined you can just restore it and add it to the exclusions list.

    Bug report:
I have reoccurring notice that Bitdefender has a product update and notifying that I restart, happens twice now and there is now change in the product version.

EDIT: Disregard this, sorry, there is a change in product version.

the same happened to me a couple of weeks ago when i trialed BDF free. the exclusion do not work as advertised. also, i couldn't use an online TV program, it was just closed with no message at all. great detection Bitdefender but, as always, still buggy. BDF is a no-go.

I hate it if program than says that something is disabled or paused. I might be OCD a bit on that part, but i just hate that. So that's not an option.

It's strange how companies manage to make so limited and minimalistic programs so buggy and problematic...
