    Is there any way to automatically remove duplicate Whitelisted items, or does that need to be done manually?

    Yes, you can enable the option "Purge old hashes when a process is whitelisted/blacklisted" located in the "Settings"->"Advanced" tab. This option will automatically delete the old hashes of "firefox.exe" (for example) when you whitelist it and it has a different hash.

    NoVirusThanks,

    I just purchased this software, based on my positive experience with the trial version.

    I noticed that there was no Windows Explorer context menu (right click) option to "whitelist/blacklist" exe's. So I suppose the GUI is the only way to select executables for whitelisting/blacklisting.

    If it's not too much trouble, could you add such a Windows context menu option? It could be very convenient for users.

    For example, I may not want to automatically allow *all* "Program Files" executables indefinitely. But I trust my *current* "Program Files" executables. Hence, I could search for all my current ".exe" files, right click the search results, and simply whitelist them.

    Thanks for any consideration!

    P.S. There is a program similar to yours called "BiniSoft Windows FireWall Control". Instead of blocking ".exe" launching, it blocks their internet activity. Anyways, it has a right-click context menu option to "whitelist/blacklist" selected ".exe" files. Perhaps that could be of some use as a reference?

    @novirusthanks

    That's what I thought, but mine doesn't seem to have worked. I have that option enabled. Yesterday I upgraded a program and in the process I had to re-whitelist a few items. However, in checking the Whitelist after the upgrade, I still see both the original exe and the newly listed exe, each with a different hash.

    Try to remove manually the older (by date) entry about the updated program, and keep the option "Purge old hashes when a process is whitelisted/blacklisted" checked, it should not reappear again the duplicated entry about that same process.

    @DX2

    Probably you used the old activation code NER*
    I sent you a PM with the new activation code.

    Nope. Mine is still there. Did it happen all of a sudden or where you in shadow mode?

    Just installed it on a clean W8 x64 machine.I remember it also happened last time too. This release, however, gave me no serious bugs at all unlike previous versions.

    One of my favorite programs. Not really sure why the whole white list is gone. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for it to pull up. NVT will probably be around to help you out.

    Well, it probably would have been if it weren't for bugs that made my system unusable. But NVT has done lots to try to help me out :)
    It's sort of a nuisance when I get 5 popups every startup...

    Yeah I used to get those too. You just have to add entries into the commandline wild card area. This takes care of a lot of redundant pop ups.

    when i hit the

    "Menu >> Export Settings >> Save File As"

    option can the "save File as" remember the location previously selected?

    (this is WinXPSP3, maybe it already does this on other OS already?)

    also for:

    "Select path to save quarantine files" and
    "Select path to save event logs"

    perhaps the "browse for folder" popup starts with the last selected folder open?
    (not as important since we see the previous location there - not a big deal, might be a slight improvement though)

    So,with that being said,what all do you have to do to get this program up and working correctly? I did use the wizard that started up and white listed everything thats currently on this PC.Any other steps?
