For the later question, pop-up only shows when it is considered as suspicious. And you can find logs in Log -> Download Protection.

Could you guys add an option to disable logging? I don't like having to manually clear the Download Protection log every time I download porn.

I'm afriad that those tools may not be updated anymore for the reason that those technologies have been devoted to 360SafeGuard,360SystemFirstAidKit,360AntiVirus(360Internet Security),QVM,cloud engine, and so on.
These softwares are all free, simple, automatic, and powerful which have helped millions of novice users solve their problems instead of expert users who know how to use ARK or HIPS.

And I'm sorry for I can't explain what I know to you because it's so complex that I need an extremely long article to make it clear even in Chinese.o_O

    @360 support

I have been determining the strength of 360 Security Proactive support module. What is a chances for adding in SETTINGS for user to CUSTOM SELECT own Registry Keys/Values to monitor writes attempt or any modifications, delete etc.

On first install it was easy simple for you to MANUALLY add a new string value in HKLM run key with no alert or nothing. Is this not one most critical important area that requires security watching from Proactive Defense observations?

Thanks for a Super New AV program that is respectful to system resources. A breath of fresh air.

I tried to install QIS 360. It installe fine but with 2 user accounts, one administrator other normal user (Win7 64-bit) I dot every time I logged in to either account an UAC-promt of QIS. With te normal account I had to accept wit my admin password. And despite of accepting it QIS aid thet the av-service is not running and the GUI told me that protection was off. And I couldn.t turn it on. And if I had first logget to the normal account (QIS on= after logging out and logging in as admin QIS was off. So back to Bitdegender free

This is not as light as I first thought. After waking up my laptop from sleep mode this morning, it was running slowly, and the cause was 360 using around 35% CPU use at times. I solved this by closing 360.

Next time I experience slowdowns, I will disable BitDefender, so see if it's lighter with that disabled.

    Hi:

It seems very buggy. The first update took 28 minutes to complete. They have a slow update server, later after restart, most of its protection were off and red and when I tried to turn it on it says crupted files, and to re-install. I did and it fixed but then its update began to update and again over 20 minutes to finish update. A headache of a peace of software.

Anyway it is very buggy and I think it need maturing.

    :thumbd: :(

It seems after re-installing and updating for another 30 minutes and rebooting of pc, the 360 internet security is broken again and most protection is red again and need repair by reinstalling.

I had it with this crapy suite. Could be it is not compatible to 64bit win 7 ultimate maybe??. It seems restarting the pc breaks it.

It's not crappy at all. It just doesn't like your system. That's all.

I installed 360 Internet Security, then... I waited for 25 minutes of updating! Still continued updating. So I decided to uninstall it.

ALSO, while "updating", it continually messed up my connection. It kept going off, then saying "identifying" before coming back on. This happened every 3-5 minutes.

I also just tried Baidu right after. Had no problem with installation or updating. However, I threw 10 zero day malware at it, and it only detected 2. That was with all settings to max, including Avira engine turned on. Ain't no way that's using the Avira engine, and if it is, it's definitions are WAY out of date. And I clicked "update" several times, just in case (after activating the Avira engine).

So, I'm greatly disappointed in both solutions.

Hi EASTER, thanks for using 360. It only pops up when a suspicious software is trying to change your system resources. When done manually, we assume it is your intention :)

    Your quite welcome.

And thank you in return for your continued communications here in addressing membership questions regarding 360 Security.

The Proactive Defense registry protection feature in my local test confirms exactly your response. When activating such as a application, vbsfile, batfile, etc. fashioned to affect changes to the registry branches 360 Proactive Security straightway jumps up to suspend the action with an alert! Manual actions are ignored.

Keep up the good work and pass along my sincere regards to the Dream Team group whenever you can.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

After installed our small package, the software needs to download the whole virus database, which is over 100MB, but only for the first time. The download time depends on network condition. You may also choose the full package with virus databases included, on http://www.360safe.com/pc.html. It only needs to update the incremental part.

For the protection failure issue, we have tested it on win7 64bit, and can not reproduce the problem. Is there anything you can think of to help us investigate the issue further? Any software or driver may lead a conflict?

    Thanks.

Well i say let the rivals contend and do battle over who done what and prove the how and let the AV'S continue to find matches as expected on the machine level.

And whoever said cloud servers from any group are flawless or immune from review by it's controllers. I was one of the first who raised a stink over the idea when it was first being considered as the wave of the future. In fact its why i never hopped on the PrevX bandwagon when it was all the rave.

I still consider it more safer and always will to briefy update then store virus/malware database locally and not have every file in my system constantly shuffled and sifted thru a remote server nonstop aka: Cloud just because it's so cool or easier on the system. Bottom line for this user and EXACTLY what your trying to make a point about, i personally never trusted with 100% assurance remote type services of any such nature because for one the Panda debacle proved my point.

As long as 360 is contesting the allegations and no real proof is surfaced to the contrary i don't take any stock in news clips without factual support.

Well it installs fine with all protection active and working. It is when the first lengthy update finishes, it still is all ok as usual. Then after rebooting the system it shows all protected and updated, however when you open 360 it showsself protection grayed out and inactive and tall but one of the protection module all red and turned off. When i click to turn any of the on, I get the message that the files are crupted and to reinstall to fix it and when i clicked ok, it opens the 360 webdite download page and I redocwnloaded and clicked it and it fixes the faulty module and then the database is redocwnloaded again for 30 minutes or so. The all is back to NORMAL and WORKING until I REBOOT the system and BACK TO SQUARE ONE WITH THE PROBLEM. I do not know if the update is bad or what.

I 'moved over' to Qihoo 360 because of the ongoing Baidu update problem and installed it 3 days ago on my Win 7 pro 64 bit machine without any issues at all. Everything seems to be running smoothly, I wonder if you have some conflict going on with some other software o_O
