Never heard of. Any good?

 

OPSWAT Security Score isn't doing anything too special or smart, and experienced users will probably find the program doesn't tell them anything they don't know already. It could still be very useful for checking other people's systems, though - making sure that a laptop used by your kids is properly configured, for instance - and that's probably enough to justify the download.

Verdict:
While its advice is fairly basic, OPSWAT Security Score does provide a quick and easy way to check a PC for potential security holes

Get me to try and waste HDD space making backups and trying to stop my file sharing. OPSWAT how could you.....

I score 100% when you take away the fact they don't want me to file share and make back-ups. I can understand the logic in back-ups but really? removing file sharing programs.......

I don't think this tool has its merits.

 

I'm pretty sure I already saw it, or a previous program with the same gui. Think the same of the quote here.

Good Morning! Downloaded Opswat Security Score...a Nasty Surprise...Security Score identified as a Trojan-Game Thief.Win 32-On Line...by Ikarus. It appears it might be a false positive. I tried to inform Opswat through their support portal but it's asking for sign in info. this to me for a consumer is a little labour intensive...why not just a straight e-mail address? Anyhow I was thinking maybe Ikarus isn't one of their certified applications...whether that might have an influence on the outcome I don't know...but I will follow up with them...to find out about their installer and the false positive...provided it is a false positive. And I downloaded the app right from Opswat website. Anyhow be careful...stay tuned! Sincerely...Securon

How about their AppRemover? Has anyone tried it?

The program also installs start up items and services that take 200MB of memory on your system. I really don't think anyone should even bother with this program.
