Ideally, I would want this function in the quarantine area.

If I were you, I'll try submitting files to Qihoo first to see if they will even react and if so, on how many time. Unless, I'd recommend sending to Bitdefender.

It also depends on which engine flags the file as suspicious or malicious. I had a couple false positives from the QVM engine that I had to whitelist on my system.

Right. You should report them so that everyone might benefit.

That is surprising, as it seems very light to me. Also you can change the settings so that real time scans only take place when you launch a program - which makes it even lighter.

That is strange, as I always found Kingsoft to be extremely light with the default settings. I did find the older paid version to be quite heavy on my system however.

Qihoo have made a few enemies, which could be the reason for these claims.

This company is a search and browser provider in China also, so maybe they are doing the Google Chrome thing and are collecting information from users. However, with Chrome you can opt-out. I'm not big on privacy details, and I think sometimes privacy problems can scare users away from excellent products. All I can say is welcome to the information age, where there are no longer secrets and privacy is a thing of the past. :shifty:

The Win 8 laptop is been overdue for a REFRESH, so now that's complete just finishing up mass deleting nearly the entire O/S since refresh left a huge supply in windows.old which included Windows Directory. I even used Linux to parallel Win 8 to delete some stuck on grime (files that refused to depart) LoL

Since i'm restarting out fresh and since i was taken aback with 360's insistence over ShadowDefender being present, the installer should be happier this time.

And i may even find something to cheer about myself while giving 360 a spin.

I gave 360 a try; however, I had to uninstall. 360 cause a huge performance impact on my PC. I'm a gamer, and I could tell that my system was struggling to open applications and games were performing badly with stuttering, pauses, and crashing to the desktop. After uninstalling 360, my PC was back to normal. Hopefully they fix this performance impact problem soon.

I have to say that on my system it is light as a feather. Of course I understand hardware specs and what you are running for security software also factor in. I also have WSA with the Windows 7 firewall and Zemana Antilogger all running real time and there is zero impact at boot. The same while multi-tasking, surfing, etc. In fact my boot times and overall system impact with Qihoo, WSA, Windows Firewall, and Zemana all running are dead on the same as when running WSA and Windows Firewall all alone. I'm happy so far.

Same here on performance. I'm not a gamer but this old Pentium 4 with 2G Ram just slowed way down. My regular browser, Chrome seemed stuck and switching to MSIE was even worse.

I'm back to CIS 6.1 free and all is fast again.
