Even if it never finds any malware that needs to be removed? Besides contributing to the developers, what benefit is there?

Agree with you, but the same can be said with AV. Last time my AV did detect a virus was in 1993.:D

A couple of days ago here. Not a virus but Adware. It depends on your browsing habits and your other layers of protection.
I would say that if you are running SBIE or SD then using HMP instead of an AV is a way to go. Otherwise I would use an actual AV.

Im my opinion, if you are prone to getting infected and you have already used the 30 day trial, then yes it is worth buying.

Not the same. The AV is the first line of defense while HM Pro is a check and a second opinion.
I have had a few, very few, attempts at infection, but my AV caught them. HM would have done nothing for me in those instances.

    I say NO.
Because Hitman Pro does not have real time protection.
If it finds something accident already did happen.
If it's major problem, then it's better to re-install windows.

Hitman pro was not designed to be a real-time AV.
It functions like MBAM free version and is an "on-demand" scanner.:)

Yes, but MBAM free is free, free removal always.
If you buy license, it turn in to Real-time Pro version. and license is lifetime. nice.

But this topic was not about Hitman Pro vs MBAM Pro, so sorry about that.

If it was cheaper i would buy it just to support them and have a second opinion scanner but for $25 bucks its hard to swallow, i can do so much with that . . .

Ability to perform a silent scan through the command-line. No advertisement. No ten second wait.

I think 10 € would be a fair price to support Hitman Pro. :thumb:

Definitely, if they sold it for that price i would purchase one. Actually if you purchase the 3 PC license it would be around that price but i have no one interested in purchasing HMP.

I think it is worth buying.

You can set it to automatically scan every minute if you'd like to. You can make it do silent scans if you'd like to. It will remove threats very effectively. It will give good indications on what is malicious through EWS effectively. You can convert it to a portable app on USB if you'd like to...

There's a lot more you can do and I think it's totally worth the cost for what you get.

If it were $25 for a lifetime license I would buy it, but not at the present price.

$25 for a lifetime license would certainly be cheap, it would also be financial suicide IMO. HitmanPro is too specialized with a small potential market compared to other products, the lifetime license model is gone for good IMHO, only Malwarebytes are left standing and although they would probably deny it, they will have to ditch it as well at some point.

Personally i think HitmanPro is dirt cheap especially if you buy the 3 year license, which is exactly what i have done, i like it so i support it.
