Yes my virus updated this morning also to May 27 from May 15. I am running 3.4.1.29680 which I also downloaded and installed. Been running Baidu on this computer for about a month and dont think it has auto-updated any program update, have had to download manually when I read about it here. Dont think I will do anymore program updates when they come out until I see they are updating the virus database. Seems like it takes forever after an update to catch up to the virus ones. Other than the update issues really like this program no other issues here.
If the Avira virus database isn't being installed and updated then you're running on their in-house antivirus engine. That's taking a big risk IMHO. It's untested and unproven. To me that's not being protected. Later...
Everyone has to start somewhere.all av software was "untested and unproven." If it is such a risk then why not just use avira free antivirus.?
If Baidu fixed a few kinks in this antivirus then it would be a pleasure to use. But as it stands now the Avira selection in settings is useless, plus the update notifications is not functioning properly. Whenever they get those ironed out I'll probably give it another try. At present I'm just using WIndows Defender as my antivirus alongside Sandboxie, ExeRadarPro, EMET 4.0 beta, and Zemana Antilogger Pro. I'm thinking of putting BitDefender Free back on but that logs button not working consistently thing has me second guessing myself. Later...

I was initially excited with the introduction/arrival of BAV. Now, from my perspective, there is just too many unknowns/uncertainty to be anything but cautious here. For one thing, there isn't even common agreement on whether the AV is still beta testing, or not. There is no viable forum to access to ask questions, or seek clarification. There is uncertainty as to what components of this AV are actually functioning, and what's not. I am simply not that trusting under those circumstances.
3.4.1.30446 (Beta) is out on Softpedia.com, but the downloaded file is 3.2.1.29578. . On the Baidu site, the latest release note is on 2013-05-29 3.4.1.30952, but the latest file is 3.2.1.39578. I guess 3.4.1.30952 will soon be available.
(2013-05-29) Baidu Antivirus 3.4.1.30952 IMPROVED Integrated with the latest virus signature FIXED Fixed USB protection potential stability problem Fixed the problem of individual users scan overtime Optimized the detail of UI effect But where is it ?, the Home Page still has ver 3.2.1.29578
They have been having issues with their download server. Everything was fine an hour ago, but last night and a couple of days ago downloads were extremely slow.
Yes downloaded the latest version from the Baidu website and did have some slowdowns. But then uninstalled my 3.4.1 version I had which was having issues updating. Installed the 3.2.1.29578 version I downloaded and has already updated twice. So until I see the newer 3.4.1 versions update will leave this alone. Hope they get it figured out, really do like this A/V...
yes, it does seem to be a lightweight and streamlined AV, does not have the bloat a lot of other ones have, I'm not using it at this time but have tried it, when they get the update part fixed may try it again, although I do like the idea of running without an AV, I'm just keeping this one on the back burner "for now"
same here already got a update this morning, will stick with this version until I see a newer one updates regularly.....
Same here, updating fine. I notice Baidu uses the Windows Task Scheduler to check for (apparently) program updates. Mine was set to launch at an odd time when my computer is usually turned off, which I changed.
Have Baidu installed on Win XP and there is nothing on the Scheduled Tasks page. Maybe different on Win 7 or 8?? Mine is taking regular definitions updates now going back to the older version.
