    Better not.
But you could make it 2nd opinion on-demand scanner by disabling its real-time AV.

Just google for K9 Web Protection...

Windows 7 x64 Firewall in default mode and UAC set to Always Notify

    Avast 8 Free

Malwarebytes free (update and run 2 or 3 full scans a week)

Have image of a fresh O/S installation with essential programs and drivers and routinely back-up needed data files.

Chrome with AdblockPlus, BitDefender's TafficLight, FlashBlock, VTchromizer (use to check iffy links before clicking on them), and WOT and use Chrome's native flash and pdf reader.

I run scans with TrendMicro's Housecall or Emsisoft Emergency Kit or Microsoft Safety Scanner or Avira/Kaspersky/Bitdefender rescue disk once a month or so.

Is this okay for a cautious internet user?

Is there any way to disable post-detection removal window?
    This annoys me like Avira.

I removed DefenceWall PF - it's a bit boring when there are no cool tweaks, though its booletproof.

I installed Comodo Firewall with HIPS in "Clean PC" and FW in "Custom". PC boots seemingly the same quickly. The only issue is that sandboxed browsers freeze. They were OK with DWPF.

Good Afternoon! Djigi...those are maximum settings! Just a word of caution...set at max...in the past I've experienced a couple of False Positives...that Webroot promptly took care of. They have a superb Customer Focused Support and Customer Service ethic. Sincerely...Securon

Just curious, did something specific happen with Avira, or did you just decide to make a change?
