ESET Policy Documentation (Round 3)

Hey,

Bit confused...

Is this .XML what you were sending out the other guys, or is this something different? It sounded like you were sending out reference guide documents to them, but this is described as being an .XML file for changing the descriptions.

OR

Does this mean that when the .XML file is installed, that each configuration item now has the reference guide instructions included in the description of what that config item does and this is exactly what you sent to everyone else?

I haven't installed this yet, just wanting clarity about what you were sending in the PM, and what the .XML file you linked to and whether they are the same thing, or just related.

I received XML file, not some kind of documentation. There are quite informative descriptions on most of policy options. Still you should go trough all the options to explore all possibilities and decide what to configure for your needs.

 

Just to clarify the XML file in the above article is the same one I have been sending everyone by email. Our Knowledgebase team was able to create a page specifically for this file, to help make things a lot more efficient. Thanks!

Now I have solved my spam problems (see elsewhere), I will look at installing this .XML file as it should make configuring stuff much easier in future.
