Thanks:) I can't understand why some products are given a protection score of 5.5 though their detection is 100%:doubt:

I trust in DrWeb Light and avast! really. Norton was pretty sucky in the past and i doubt they improved that much all of the sudden...

Uuuhm, still does not make sense 5.5 points = 100% detection and 6 points = 100% detection. You should round the score (final evaluation) while giving exact figures in detection %.00. Or add the details of the number of missed samples (as it is done with false positives). Otherwise how do I know how many samples were missed?

Avast was on top in feb test and now suddenly down in march test,QuickHeal who's AV sucks when it comes to PC protection tops in android, you kidding me

why should I trust this test, this is nonsense, where is the proof they really tested according to what they said and all these results are real, again this type of odd and weird looking results makes me doubt these tests, this is the second time I am looking at weird test results because I saw 1 even from AV-C last year :p

Out of 26 products, all but 3 earned 6/6 in the usability category. Would this mean that battery impact, device slow downs, traffic, and false positives were about the same for all except the 3 that didn't earn 6 of 6? I don't know if I can believe this. I would figure that there would be a few that stand above the rest regarding usability.

You always say a test is a test, one trust it or not.

I would say the same, a test is a test, take it that way.

If avast had come out on top there would be no question about the test's validity, and you'd be waving a victory flag on the avast forum. Just saying...

I noticed the same thing. For example, Bitdefender provided 100% protection, yet is rated as "5.5. out of 6".

I use Avast on my Nexus 7 and I cannot believe it dropped that far in the AV Test results. When I say I don't believe it, I really don't believe it at all. So why isn't Zoner in there? Did they not want to take part?

Android security is going to be a major marketplace. It could end up being bigger than PC security. So the payware versions of products are making a push to enter the market, get at least one good test result and use that for advertising. The number of Android malware has started to multiply quickly, especially the last few months. That trend should continue, especially when there is a buck to be made, from the malware writers and the payware security products.

Yes, I'm currently using Avast Mobile but have used Dr Web lite and there is an auto daily update option.

Open the app, in the upper right hand corner select the 3 dots you will see the settings options drop down, select settings - update and check automatic.

Is that Dr Web or Dr Web light? I'm using light and mine looks different. If it is light then make sure you have the latest version.

    :)

Dr Web Light has been updated to the latest version from 04/03/2013, but there are still no dots. I don't know ...
