I really like Applocker but it has it's annoyances. I have been getting a lot of popups with NVT but I just white listed C:\Windows so that should take care of that. NVT did cause my computer to freeze earlier today though. I had to forcefully tun it off. I am using version 2.7 though so not sure if that makes any difference.

I was using the free version for a while. I just whitelisted the 2 Program Files folders (x64) and also the Windows folder recursively and never got a popup at all after that. I think the current version is 2.74, and I assume you're using the 30 day trial.

If you have issues, you can post in the thread here:

NVT is very responsive to issues and questions. First class support... You can PM him also if you want.

How many years have you been with Avira Premium?
I've been using it for the last 5 years or so and have found no alternatives to it.
I change my main antivirus couple of times a year, but always get back to my Avira :p

    Nice!
i used to run Avira with WSA myself, potent indeed
WSA makes up for the missing Proactiv x64 in Avira without adding much to resource usage
and the signatures of Avira are potent as ever

lethal combo when combined with a good Firewall (Comodo/Online Armor/Outpost)

    stay with this combo Securon

I've finally configured AppLocker by MrBrian list. I didn't forget to get "Enforced" all rules. Restarted. No issues. It's somehow weird.

I have some portable apps not in C, in D. I configured SRP to allow them to start in their folder, I didn't change AppLocker to allow them. Anyway they start as usually. Shouldn't AppLocker stop them? Is it OK?

I'm not sure what overrides what but if SRP overrides Applocker, then it should work like you say. However I think it's the other way around. Do you have the Application Identity service running?

    Bingo! It was off.

Yes, AppLocker overrides SRP. I had to create rules allowing executables, scripts and dlls to run from folders not in C. No other issues yet.

i think i did a good choice and i will try to keep this combination as it ia the most safe choice:) i read alot about this combo :)
ok for my 64 bit system i am currently running Shadow Defender and Sandboxie and Emsisoft Antimalware:thumb:
drop rights on and only cretain applications in the sandbox are allow to use the internet and other settings:thumb:

then in my 32 system i will run Shadow Defender or Deepfreeze with DefenseWall Personal Firewall and ESET Nod32 Antivirus 6.0

or in my 64 system just Sandboxie and in my 32 system just Defensewall
