Yeah I see what you mean.

FYI. On this page scroll down nearly to the bottom where the comparison chart start and you will see a sign say
"This Product" in Blue. And under follows the features it includes. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832296070

But I agree the text needs some editing :)

yes, I see that SweX. thanks for pointing that out as well.

like I said, it's a good deal. I am going to get this deal myself, and if there is anything to say here at wilderssecurity (worth mentioning), I'll be back.

You're welcome. And yes it sure is a good deal. One last thing though, if any questions come up about WSA, like "how it works", "what does that mean" etc etc... the best place to post them is in the Prevx forum here on Wilders as Prevx=Webroot now. Where a guy named Prevxhelp (Joe) will have all the answers in the world about WSA, if no one else knows the answer, and answers before him of course ;)

Great. It won't accept my payment, I'm guessing because I'm in the UK. Being a download, I didn't think it would matter.

I will keep that in mind SweX.

I make the purchase with paypal. here is the instructions provided after the confirmation:

Step 1 - Click on the following link:
    Software Name Product Key URLs

(product key and url was here)
Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus 3 Device (ESD)

Step 2 - Choose "Save Target As" or "Save to Disk."

Step 3 - Choose where you would like to save your download. We recommend saving it to your Desktop. Click "Save." Your Software will begin downloading at this time.

Step 4 - Once your download is complete, you must install it before it can be used. To install your software, go to where you saved the download and double-click on the software icon. Insert the product key when prompted. This will begin your installation process.

To download your software using Newegg Download Manager, please visit your Order History Page and choose download product with download manager.

    Hey Triple Helix
i am thinking of buying Multiple licenses (5-10) for use at home and also to store for future needs
is there any shelf life of these licenses?
would they become invalid and not activate after a period of (say) 5-6 years ?

that would stink if that's the case. after all, it's only wires and satellites at work here. they don't actually have to ship a thing.

There's always taxes et cetera to be paid which is not included in the US price. Therefore they might restrict it to US-only. :)

it seems like they could just put a little note on the page that addresses that issue and find a way to calculate for that scenario accordingly. they find a way to put info there that is irrelevant (misleading-the 25gb online storage). this is moolah they are missing out on.

they should have seen this coming.

It's been said many times by PrevxHelp that they will stay valid until first activation so your good to go.

check that you get a firewall installed with this program.

I thought I was only getting antivirus. at least that's what the promo on newegg that I responded to said (maybe I am mistaken). it appears that I also get firewall, as well as anyone else who purchased this deal.

I am in the bad habit of starting up the computer and walking away until everything loads at startup. one time I got back to the computer early and saw the pop-up that shows the program's components. that's how I learned that it also provides a firewall. I use a different firewall (I won't mention the name) that I have grown accustomed to. I disabled the webroot firewall.

if anyone notices a 'sticky' mouse (it momentarily freezes), that is probably your culprit.

I would also like to say that the antivirus is working nicely. I am very happy with it.

It came with a FW too?

*Kicking myself right now for not grabbing this*

This sounds exactly like the solution Im looking for.

yep, right after startup a pop-up comes up from the notification tray and firewall is listed.

when you pop up the gui, it's there at the bottom of either the first or second window. easily disabled or enabled. immediately fixed my mouse problem as soon as I disabled it.

glad I got the program. hope it keeps my OS clean.

You can leave the WSA firewall enabled without a problem, as it is designed to have widespread compatibility, and shouldn't interfere, and recommendation is to leave it enabled, ideally.
