    Hello,

in next version of PrivaZer (v1.9)
    we'd like to increase virality.
We are constantly focused on quality but maybe it is time to communicate more because having an excellent product is not enough.

For instance, users may share news about the amount of space PrivaZer freed up on their system :

"Thanks to PrivaZer, I freed up 2,5 GB on my computer"

Do you think that's a good idea to improve our chance to go viral ?

Yes, but I would enhance the informations about what pc privacy really is and what PrivaZer actually does.

Quite frankly, that is a big yawn.

If someone keeps there system clean, you won't see that kind of result, and if the don't then any cleaner will.

I looked at your sight, and didn't see anything to make me change from ccleaner. That is what you need.

Few people I know actually care about optimizing their system with CCleaner or any other tool. The best way to go viral is bundling with another software, because people will install PrivaZer even if that's not what they were looking for. The consensus here in this community is anti-piggyback software like toolbars, adware and such.

Word of mouth is always the best promotion you can get. Repair shops, pc technicians, enthusiasts, etc... that's the market you should be aiming at, I think.

Nothing wrong with that as such, BUT, that type of talk has been associated with crapware over the years :D

Sure, but see my post in the other thread too ;)

    Hi:

Well I tried privazer a while ago and noticed some instability with my system narrowed it some registry items were deleted by privazer. Ever since then I had issue and forced to format since I did not have a backup image.

Anyway I am very hesitant to use this software as it cleans deeply.

    Hello taleblou,

not sure that it was a registry issue.
we had an compatibility issue with Rollback RX but now it is fixed.
Are you a Rollback RX user ?

    http://youtu.be/JkiNFkpouUw

Maybe we should also release one ourselves.

The GUI needs to be worked on so everything is in one compact window. Multiple windows popping up creates confusion. Also, compare it with CCleaner and other cleaners and show what yours does that theirs doesn't.

I totally agree with Peter2150. Some issues I see with your product:

    1. There is nothing that makes Privazer catch your eye. You have serious competition (CCleaner for instance) and you need to stand out in order to win the first place.
    2. Telling half-truths like "you always leave sensitive traces" that "makes your PC slower" or "reduces free space available" doesn't help.
    3. A better organized site would also be a way to boost your public image.

I really like this product and have a few suggestions for improvement,

Multiply windows as mentioned by others are irritating, especially if you have 3 or 4 drives selected to wipe free space and various windows keep popping up, and its hard to tell when the wiping is finished, on occasions i have closed the program prematurely thinking its done,

its would be nice to have all the drives wiping progresses in one window like a baragraph, so you can tell at once how far each individual drives free space wiping is going.

The closing down GUI is annoying and sloooow!

needs built in updater on the software list wiping, And would like it to detect lesser known softwares recent lists rather than having to resort to using crap cleaner with CCenhancer.

Market PriVazer more as a forensic cleaner rather than a general Crap Type cleaner because thats really what its designed to do,its very through in its cleaning and would give a forensic examiner a hard time!

Try and spread the word over at forensic forums to get the wind up them and get examiners to road test it. Remember all the hype about Evidence Elliminator? it got in the news about defeating forensic police examinations, I believe Privazer goes way beyond EE even at this early stage and without all those nasty scare tactics they used.

There are some clever people behind PriVazer and i hope it continues to grow.

    just my 2 cents.

    Hello appzman,

thanks for your nice review of PrivaZer.

    1. GUI closing down will be improved in next release.

    2. having all the drives wiping progresses in one window is a good idea

    3. winapp2.ini file support is already on our roadmap

Anyway, maybe we can help faster if you give us some applications you want us to support.

    Thanks for replying Privazer team.

I use some really old softwares so can hardly expect you to support them just for me! (Wave Lab pro 4,Cakewalk Sonar producer 4,Pinnacle 15) hehe

Could you tell me if PriVazer removes/deletes Favicons? I would like that option to clean bookmark icons.

Does PriVazer clean the same files and locations as TFC ( by old timer)?

Would it be worth having a "Advanced privacy" tool menu where you can do registry tweaks to disable windows tracking, logging, recent documents, and NTFS last file access stamp, disable thumbs.dat ?

I did a recent test with X-ways Trace 1.51 on PriVazers abilties to wipe file slack and browsing history and it passed with flying colours! nothing was revealed after a scan, no url web addresses etc or file names.

    VERY impressive :)

Keep up the good work! How someone can say that Privazer is a "big yawn" and that CCleaner wipes the same stuff is beyond me. Privazer is a much deeper cleaner and there's really no comparison. I think something like that can only be said by someone who hasn't used Privazer.

I use CCleaner, BleachBit, and CleanAfterMe on an automated schedule. When I first tried Privazer, it found a TON of stuff that those 3 missed. So, IMO, while the others are ok, they aren't as good.

I'd grab a PC, and wipe it with CCleaner...then I'd do a Privazer pass and show everything CCleaner missed.

PrivaZer is an excellent and innovative product benefiting both expert and casual user.

PrivaZer's "smart cleanup", which identifies and wipes only the dirty disk areas, is a game changing innovation. I've used disk wipers for years and have wasted countless hours wiping clean disk areas in order to ensure that dirty disk areas are completely wiped. PrivaZer's "smart cleanup" process changes all of that and in my experience has decreased disk wiping time to 10% or less compared to conventional disk wiping processes.

The one button click to "Clean my internet traces" is thorough and fast. As fast as any internet cleaner I've ever used, and significantly faster than most. This removes the junk that slows down computers with just a single click. It's simple enough for any novice to use. It takes virtually no time. And its the best way to keep anyone's computer running at top speed.

    PrivaZer is top notch.

    **************

BTW, on the money issue, this is a product that could provide substantial benefits to commercial users. It seems to be a standard practice with other softwares to charge a fee for commercial users, and PrivaZer should do the same if it doesn't already. As to contributions from non-commercial users, you've made a great product and will have my $upport.

    **************

    Many Thanks.

    Yet another cleaner/optimiser.

How many more do we need.?

I have used ccleaner for years with no issues and i see no reason to use another one.

I have over 500gb free on my hard drive so cleaning large amounts of data is a non issue.
The only thing which makes any difference is defragging the drive.

Because PrivaZer is not focused on cleaning only. Besides cleaning, it's very powerful at getting rid of stuff and traces all the other cleaners leave behind.

Try it for yourself and see what I'm talking about. ;)

    I agree

PrivaZer is in a class of it's own, It does more than the average cleaner.

The only downside I see about Privazer is that basically it requires a bit higher knowledge than Ccleaner to avoid potential mistakes...

Doing more does not mean it is doing it safely.

Anyway i will give it the benefit of the doubt.

Does it use some form of cloud whitelist.?
So important files are not deleted.

I may have a look at this one.:)
