How to unblock web sites

Eset has a built-in list of blocked sites. This is often useful. But how to bypass it ? I have tried both "list of authorized website" and "list of adresses excluded of filtering". I can access these sites but each time I surf inside the web page, the blocking comes again.

To moderators : You will not solve problems or make customers happier by moderating/closing a thread...

 

I do not use ESET product at this moment and I cannot test myself but try to exclude with a wildcard, e.g. http://test.com/*

Additionally, I am just thinking that it might not be possible - because excluding what is already blocked internally could be considered a security risk.

 

As of v6, you can simply add the website to the list of allowed addresses (e.g. *www.domain.com/*). However, I'd suggest reporting the blocked url to the malware research lab rather than unblocking it yourself as you might prevent ESET from blocking url known to host frequently changing malware.

 

And is this allowed address (*www.domain.com/*) scanned or not ?
I would say no since it is not in the excluded address from filtering. Not sure.

 

It will be scanned unless you exclude it from filtering. However, any possible new malware on the url will not be blocked and you may get infected.
