He also called me a "Comodo fanboy" for nothing. If you say something positive about some product, it's considered "fanboyism" by some intellectuals on this forum. Ah.. well... who cares!!!

I'm not sure how Kaspersky and BitDefender scored better than Eset in the performance category.

Didn't know that Windows Defender aka Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows 8 is that 'bad'.

Windows defender is quite good despite all the rant against it from different testing organizations and other AV vendors. I think with all the heated discussion here you give much more credit and attention to this test than it really deserves.

Does your "lots of people" also include me? And what about you then? Are you not passionate about Emsisoft? :p

I don't want to indulge myself in useless and retarded debates. I will not get any benefit out of it.

BTW, I have decided to go AV-free for the time being. Just trying to be a bit adventurous. I still firmly believe that I can never get infected in the first place. And, no chance of me being labelled as a "fanboy" anymore. :D

How can you label someone who has BitDefender logo for avatar as Comodo fanboy is beyond me...

Same here. I just shared my positive experience with CIS in the past, and some intelligent guy labelled me as a "Comodo fanboy." Next time, I praise something here, I will be extremely cautious. :D

I can't speak for BitDefender as I have not tried it in years, but KIS 2013 is amazingly fast (compared to earlier versions) and ESET 6 is not the speed demon that earlier versions were. I find them to be similar in actual performance.

Wilders are a passionate and loyal crowd and will defend their security product to the death.I personally dont understand this as all security companies are trying to secure the end user and this should not be treated as some race or Combat.
I use what works on my computer.

Yes KIS 2013 is the best full fledged security suite available as of now.
Both their AV and Firewall components are top notch and don't pose any perceivable slowdown to my system unlike the 2012 and 2011 versions.
I do recommend KIS 2013 to all my noob friends, becauuse its install and forget. ;)

Wasn't Dr.Web going to participate in these tests? What happened, did they pull out at the last minute?

I would use WSA if they could somehow make the Identity Shield compatible with Sandboxie'd browser. That would be as light as can be, while adding the missing 'protection' WSA has compared to Bitdefender. WSA is so tiny and fast it's ridiculous. It's what µTorrent was back in 2005.

Shadek what version of sandboxie are you using? I have 3.76 and I'm using WSA. The identity shield works when I sandbox firefox.

Really? I doubt it. You should test keyloggers/screen grabbers against it. It cannot intervene with certain hooks inside/outside Sandboxie due to Sandboxies nature. You won't see any error messages. It just doesn't work, as is intended with Sandboxie. Ask Joe in the Prevx forum if you'd like. He'll confirm it.
