Recommended Linux Distros for Online Banking/Shopping

Which Linux 'Live' Distro's do you recommend for Secure/Safe 'Online Banking' and/or 'Online Shopping'?

Ideally, you want a browser-based Linux distro that provides SSL for both online banking and online shopping and that does not store any data about sites you have visited.

The recommended Linux to use for Banking/Shopping is not any one distro, but a Live Linux CD/USB environment (see Krebs on Security website and search for article on banking online).

A live CD.USB environment is safer than any one installed OS because the very definition is that your hard drives are not vulnerable (i.e. not mounted) which they are in any installed OS as the OS needs to log files, etc.

The other item of concern is whether your bank uses two-level (step) security authentication or not. Ask your bank if they do, and if they do, then use it rather than single level authentication. If your bank does not use two step authentication, then I would either not do banking on line (my perference), or find a bank with 2 step/level authentication.

As for shopping which I do online, be careful where you shop.

In addition to Lotuseclat79 intelligent statements, consider the need in relation with the banking/shopping process...
So it is not only a kiosk liveCD like Webconverger, a security focused distro like Fortress Linux and even a specialized liveCD like BankiX ( http://www.heise.de/ct/projekte/Sicheres-Online-Banking-mit-Bankix-284099.html )...
A read only OS like LiveCD, secure communications (VPN), a virtual keyboard, hardened browser settings, and several authentication factors (sms is a minimum, even if some trojans can catch it) is the base.

I tried an earlier version (around a year ago), but from my memory the fonts were somewhat hard to read.
