Thanks for letting us know .. how old we are now! - 20 years? - Whereto time has vanished so fast? I mean besides when loitering here on Wilders?

 

My first PC was an AMD Duron.
I'm too young.

 

Our first PC had a Intel Pentium 2 - 266Mhz, 192 MB of RAM, and Win 95. We got it around 1997 I think

 

Mine was an AMD Duron 750Mhz - 256 MB of RAM - Nvidia TNT2 and Windows 95 later changed to XP. PC was built in 2001 by my cousin.
Forgot to add that it had a 5GB HDD . . . YES 5GB!!!!!

 

My first computer was Intel Pentium 3 733Mhz, 256 MB SD-RAM, 10 GB IDE-HDD, IDE-CD-RW, Windows 98 + 56 kbps (10kbps - 30 kbps actual speed) connection in 2000 =~ US $400 at that time.

 

Per month, No?

 

BTW, my first PC had 128MB of RAM not 265MB.

 

Do XT count as PC on this scale? What about Commodore?

I found this link on another forum were one member were asking what he would get for an old Intel P4 and of course many said not much, and then another member posted this link wich is quite interesting

Nah ok seriously, I think you "sell" them/it (depending on how many you got how big the pile is ) to the company as they are and get money for them that way. That's how I think it works anyway

 

My first computer was in '94. It had a UMC 486 SX processor (can't remember the mother board) with 4 MB of ram and an 80MB hard drive. I upgraded to an Intel 486 DX 2 with 12 megs of ram and a 1 GB Conner hard drive. The hard drive was $450 and I still have it tucked away in a box. The ram was $100 for each 4MB ram stick.
It ran windows 3.1 pretty good (if I had a dollar for everytime I formatted, I'd probably be rich), 95 not so good.
