No, I didn't take it like that :) It's just that I would like the forum to be useable for everyone. I've emailed Tony asking him to login etc.

Please note that I was in no way implying that the website is malicious,I opened the website in my desktop PC and it was flagged,I was just informing it so that it can be whitelisted, thats all.

It's still being blocked... Maybe MalwareBytes expects many users to flag it as a FP before they actually take it off their black lists.

the same mcafee site advisor give it a danger and blocks it and also virustotal scan of the shadow defender installer gives 2 detection by Norton and trendmicro as TROJAN and REPUTATION.

I'm not sure how Mcafee site advisor works but maybe these blocks/blacklists are feeding off each other.
From my perspective, I've installed a clean software Simplemachines latest onto the hosting site, (which is well known and used) and I can't see how anything malicious could be on there. There are no attachments.
I've just checked the original installation file from simplemachines with Avast Pro (current) and Malwarebytes (current) 25 mar 2013 and they both came up with nothing.

Any updates on the drop rights function? Will tony be able to do it in the next release?

Kupo, have you started an account at the official Shadow Defender forum? There is a thread on the drop my rights option here at the new official Shadow Defender forum. -http://shadowdefenderforum.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=cbca06c8e52002e196ac0d23ec9587ec&topic=6.0

It seems that registry exclusion is tony's focus in the next release.

I would prefer to see registry exclusion take priority over drop-rights. I've long thought that combining Shadow Defender with either AppGuard or DefenseWall for policy restriction is the way to go. Just a personal view.

The new SD forum is still being blocked by MBAM. This is quite ridiculous, considering that Patrick has already written to them about it.

    Hi CyberMan969
Yes! I think it strange to, in my post #2332 which was edited because of my breach of Forum Policy , VirusTotal Results only one showed it [1/36] as a Malicious site, [which was detected by Websense ThreatSeeker].

imho a really annoying Thing is that the shadow Defender GUI asks for admin privileges whenever you open it. For me as a Standard user I would have to first type in the admin Password for the UAC and then type in the Password for shadow Defender to open up...I think the Password control of shadow Defender should be enough. The GUI shouldn't ask for admin rights imho...

That's one of the reasons I don't use Wondershare Time Freeze on another Computer. When you set it to start with Windows you will get a UAC Pop up as soon as you boot into Windows which is annoying...

    Hi,

I have used shadow defender for 2 days...

The "Exclusion List" function is very useful, but it has a bug.

When I download some software which has an original timestamp (modified time ). (The original modified time can be set by "download them all!" in Firefox.)
Also, there is other reason we need the real modified time, such as modified documents has its own modified time...

The bug is : When I restart the computer, all the files (changed or added in the folder which is in the "Exclusion List"), there "modified time" properties has been changed to the time when I put it into the folder.

This is an upset bug...Please figure it out. Don't change files' timestamp by the defender..

I have test the "Commit Now" function which has no such problem..

    Thanks!!

I tried to register at the new SD forums (thanks, by the way, to all involved with that). This is probably "my bad" and my lack of knowledge of the current Internet lingo, but what the heck am I supposed to enter for "knock on the?" and "look through the?". Yes, that's how they were actually worded ... Help! o_O

    Thanks,
    Acadia

    knock on the door?
    look through the window?
I'm not sure, I haven't registered but it sure seems to be some sort of anti-bot system, like captchas.

Yes it's an anti bot system...a number of simple questions to be answered by humans
    question and answer
Question like sun in the day moon at? Answer night

The capchas are ok but they don't stop the bombardment of spam
I would request that you don't put my answers up on open forum :)
