simple GUI such as MSE. I can't stand Avast for it's flashy icons.

I liked the Kaspersky GUI when I was using KAV 2011 because it could be skinned and customized. I was able to remove everything I didn't like in the default GUI and add some things I found in various skins. It was the most customizable AV GUI I've ever used. I'm not sure if you can still do that level of tweaking in the new versions.

I am with Noob. It is between Kaspersky & Norton - for Beauty with Brains.

MSE --> Simple, easy to use, doesn't spam your screen with things that may destroy you PC. :D

    1. Trend Titanium 2013 - clean, concise, nice graphics, customizable if you're into changing the look of the UI (you can use your own images, etc), very easy to use.
    2. Kaspersky IS 2013 - straightforward, simple design, good contrast, puts commonly used stuff front and center, but advanced controls are neatly organized by category and easy to find.
    3. SecureAnywhere - it's amazingly informative (I'm a sucker for data), good color choices, extremely straightforward in its basic mode, but clear and concise in advanced mode.

It would have to be between ESET and Norton, though I guess ESET should get the point for being more functional. I don't like the ridiculous amounts of green that some vendors use, and I don't like the attempts by many vendors to "dumb down" their GUI. :(

I'm not too concerned about simplicity, so a more option rich interface would be my preferred choice. ESET doesn't do a bad choice of tackling both. The interface is easy to navigate, while at the same time hosting a degree of configurablity. If I had to choose the simplest interface (most user friendly), then I'd have to go with Panda Cloud. Nothing really hidden, except the proxy setup/internet connection check. I would never of expected it to have a display that flips around. Only reason I knew about this, was I saw a video online.

I must say that green seems a very popular colour amongst GUI developers.Just an observation.

Webroot Secure Anywhere. :D - Why? That is easy: because every time I see that gorgeous and informative and small GUI I know WSA is running and protecting me as it says! :D

Well, all you bloatware users (not saying vendors or names here so that should be allowed :p ) can't see of course the problem: since WSA has almost zero (0) system impact you HAVE to have visual hints that it is indeed up and running which the mentioned GUI provides wonderfully. :D - (The green is a bit soft though for my eyes, but something could be always done even better.)

My least favorite GUI is btw. Bitdefenders dark simulation of a star wars game (ship control or whatever that looks like?) which I installed for a few minutes months ago. I generally don't like non-light (colors) GUI's (reason for not using those products even if anything else is okay!) and like them looking "serious", not "playful".

In my opinion, non are by favourite and by the way,I hate the new avast interface whether it is in free or paid it doesnt sound good to my eyes and rather the fact that the new upcoming program update has VPN..Ummm..I wouldnt mind avast adding new things but it just makes it more of a addition and its just way too much and I know for a fact that some people will call this a "bloat" when people dont realize the real defination of bloat is.When you have new features that are non-functional and of no use to the end user then it is a bloat.

Well, since none of anything is skinable, I can't use my extreme florescent celebrity babe zombie anime theme.

So, if whatever I click on/fill out works, any GUI is OK by me.

I liked the old Avast 4.x "media player" interface because it was quirky but functional  Of current AV products, I think MSE has the simplest and most intuitive interface.

I cant see the point in this o_O for instance I installed Avira Antivirus Premium over 3 years ago, and I've seen the GUI maybe twice in that time, the rest of the time it's in the taskbar sitting there waiting for any intrusion (if any) and scans invisibly. Do I take from this, people look at it (The GUI) daily admiring the colours etc.. ludicrous if you ask me :shifty:

    So many varying opinions!
I personally like the functional and simple\clean look. Like MSE\Mbam.
    Dislike avast.

    *takes cover from thrown tomatoes*
Wait wait! I like avast!... I just don't personally like the GUI. It's pretty but I don't find it as practical as a lot of others...

I remember in the time of v5,there were claims of DACS coming in CIS v6 release but it never turned up and now there are rants around their forum that it will come in CIS 6.1 which I highly doubt
