    I sent you a PM.

    @RADEON

Good idea, that will be added to the new version.

    @siketa

Yes, much easier to edit the commandline wildcard this way, it will be added.

    @all

Thanks for the comments about the new website redesign :)

This is a compatibility question. Has anyone been able to have EXE Radar Pro and Comodo CFW 6 install and play nicely together? I have ERP installed but when I install Comodo CFW 6 I immediately start getting freeze/lock ups even after a reboot. Obviously a driver conflict of some sort. If you have been able to sort it out then what settings did you change to accomplish it? I've tried everything I can think of but with no success.

BTW, this is on Win 8 Pro 64 bit.

    Thanks for any input.

    Later...

Another compatibility question. Any report of issues with Hitman Pro. NVT has been running aok and solid, everything on xp is normal fast, except for "something" slowed down hitman scans to the tune of from 3 min scan to now it takes 12 mins! and I cannot find what it is. I have disabled NVT during a hitman scan but same slow scan, but not disable the NVT service. No evidence that NVT is causing hitman to slow down, but it's one of the few changes I've made to the system. I'm liking NVT lots and recommending it. For the time being I've uninstalled hitman (paid version), and tried reinstalling it and it still runs slow. I posted same question in Hitman thread a couple days ago and no reply yet.

Would this be hard to implement, considering how EXE Radar Pro is currently programmed?

    To Add:
A slider adjustment (Under settings as well as right click tray icon), to adjust protection settings.

    Examples...

    Low
Generally less popups, less protection - Basically a temporary slider adjustment for those moments when a user doesn't want the program to talk as much.

    Medium

Moderate popups, moderate protection - A balance between good protection, but far less popups than Advanced or Restricted.

    Advanced (Default)
Basically the default settings of EXE Radar Pro

Restricted - Values that are normally added to Alertlist, etc. (Basically hardened settings)
Restricted slider enabled, and user customized

I don't know, this might be an unnecessary feature, But, would like to hear your thoughts on this anyways - @NoVirusThanks

    You mean...something like AppGuard has?

Generally the same concept, but an ERP flavor of configuration.

If they are going to build things with similarities to AG they should start with inter-process protection like AG's MemoryGuard. I like NoVirusThanks pricing and licensing better than AG's (however, I am a dedicated AG but have thought of acquiring a license to ERP Pro thanks to Peter2150). Can't wait for the pro trial btw.

Trust me, it's a very wise purchase.

    and yes...

A trial is much needed, as I think it'll bring in more customers for NoVirusThanks

This makes a lot sense for Appguard, but not sure it makes sense for what is basically and anti exe program. There really is no modereation, either it runs or it doesn't.

I don't really see it accomplishing much.

    siketa,
Have you ever tried to run Comodo and EXE Radar Pro together before?

    Thanks.

Yeah, that is why I mentioned that it might be an unnecessary feature, but still wanted to see what NoVirusThanks had to say about it.

    Only in virtual machine.
Comodo's defense was giving me a popup before ERP could do anything.

I have the following in my AlertList:

    C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
    C:\Windows\System32\regsvr32.exe
    C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe
    C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe
    C:\Windows\System32\wscript.exe
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\rundll32.exe
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msiexec.exe
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\wscript.exe

    But......

I get constant popups, especially from regsvr32.exe and rundll32.exe. I know that Whitelisting the commandline or wildcarding can help minimize these popups, but will it at all bring down the security aspect of ERP?

If any of you share the same settings as I do, what exactly did you do to minimize the popups for these processes?

I just do the first 3. Took about a day of whitelisting the command lines, but my systems have settled down and no longer bother me.

Radeon, launching of which apps gives you popups?
I had popups from MBAM and for ejecting of USB memory but they appear no more since I whitelisted them using wildcards.

  22. Tyrizian

    Example

I get a popup everytime I start up my machine, Explorer.exe is the cause of it.

Same for the USB ejection as well.

Also when the machine is idle, it always gives me a popup here and there.

If I don't have those processes under Alertlist, then of course I don't get the popups.

So you're saying that I should Whitelist the command lines of these processes?

I should mention that I have those processes added to my alertlist, but have always hit allow once when they alert me (Which I know is the reason for my constant popups)

I haven't Whitelisted them nor do I have any wildcards into place (I'm basically unsure on the most effective way to deal with the Alertlist).

Which is why I am curious as to what other ERP users do.

Do I Whitelist them or apply wildcards?

I usually command line it if it's a legit process. I added Hitman Pro and google update to the wildcard since it changes everytime. I couldn't add rundll to the alert list. Everytime my computer went to standby, it wouldn't come out of standby. Had to do a hard reboot. Kind of annoying.
