Before IE versions above 8 locked the file, preventing Panda to remove it. Now this is fixed by making sure that Panda fetches the file before IE own security functions kicks in. It is a adjustment in the prefetch scan that have been made, I assume.
IE8 and older lacks this security function so Panda had only issues with IE9 and above.
I have tried this hotfix and it seems to work great in IE10 on both Win7 and Win8.

why doesn't Panda just come out with a new version to fix this?
    instead of a hotfix

ok I installed the file and did the test and now it does it correctly, it puts it into the recycle bin

now you need to put this into a v21.2 version so users do not have to do a fix
In fact please let me know when it is in the next version and what the version is called so I can put it on some of my clients computers
I would rather have it in a full version then keep putting a fix to it

oh I just noticed on the main screen it is still showing a virus even though I deleted it from the recycle bin, the two pictures show this.
Shouldn't it go away once you have emptied from the recycle bin?

I think that is sorta like a log, to show x amount of viruses, spyware, other, suspicious items since it has began protecting you.

It should only show it when your mouse overs on the first screen shot (left). It will list the most recent malicious agent removed. It should not show up in the second screen shot with the red bar still red. You could try going into advance settings, clear warnings and reports, but I'd run another scan to make sure its actually been removed.

going into the advanced settings clears it but should it clear itself? once you delete it from the recycle bin?
and I ran another scan- I did the esicar test- so the virus was not real but I did run another scan and it is not there- says it is clean

If you've cleared it and it's gone then you should be good. The only reason for it to still list it would be if panda is trying to keep a running tally of past infections. I seem to remember it clearing on mine, but I've been fortunately and only had a false positive set it off. Old copy of clippy on a thumb drive. I sure miss that program, it was amusing to run on other people's computers.

No, this is the normal behavior. The bars on the right represent sort of a "history" of all the threats detected by PCAV wether they're still in the Recycle Bin or not.
You can clear this by going to Advanced Options and then click on Clear Logs or something, I don't remember exactly what it says.

By the way, Panda fixed your issue, you are using their freebie, let's try to be less harsh and more thankful.

Panda devs may not have to release a minor update. A hotfix can be sent out to the servers and Panda Cloud will update transparently, if it is necessary. Panda can do the same thing with the behavioral engine for example, without the need for an upgrade.

then a hotfix should be sent out to the servers, all i want to know is since this hotfix did fix it (which had to be done manually) has Panda pushed through this through their servers so i can install it on other clients computers without putting on the hotfix manually, and how would we know it was done?

I am thankful this worked but If i am going to recommend Panda to my clients as another antivirus program with the thought of purchasing it, i want to know it works without putting manual hotfixes on it
