What i would like to be in future EEA version is to control the CPU usage as sometimes or most of the times our users are complaining when the scheduled in-depth scan kicks in. I have 2 schedules of scans per week, 1 on Mondays which is an in-depth scan and smart scan on Wednesdays, all starts to run during lunch break. I tried this feature in MS Security Essentials and would love to have it here on EEA. This is my only request in the time being.
Just a random thought that came to me. You know how the alert notification toast message can stack multiple notifications, and give you "plus 3 more" or something like that? There's an option to dismiss all, but if there are a lot of notifications stacked up and you want to see them all, you have to click on the x on all the toasts after you viewed them, or wait for the toast delay to expire. How about a new button that will say "View All" button that will pop-up a window with all the notifications so you can easily view and dismiss them? If the window is open, all new alerts will fill into this window.
As more slate and touch screen computers comes out to market (I'm currently writing this on my XPS One 2710 27" touch screen computer) it may be worthwhile to redesign the UI to be a little bit more touch friendly, with UI testing to be sure that it is compatible to medium and larger fonts. Maybe take advantage of the password preview icon of Windows 8 for password entry as well. As someone working in the software company, we are also being mindful of this new trend right now.
I would just like to see Twitter protection in the next release. You have Facebook, but what about Twitter?
In contrast, many of us think on keyboards (I've been doing that since the eighth grade, on typewriters), and I can see no point in tablets. And I am not alone. A substantial number of Infoworld articles (to which I subscribe) are critical of Win8. And recent Wall Street Journal financial articles say that Win8 sales are not doing well. Maybe Win-Blue would be better, but I doubt that it could be useful to me. Earlier this year I bought a new Dell Precision M4700 laptop with Win7sp1 64-bit long before I really needed it, but I feared that Win7sp1 would not be available on new laptops (even though MS says it will support Win7 with updates until 2020). Each to his own. My wife and I been using Eset since 2.x. But if Eset starts requiring me to smear my screen with my grubby fingerprints, I will be in the market for different security software. Hello, The discussion has come up and while there may be some kind of touch-centric user interface in the future, anti-malware software on a computer tends to be very finely-nuanced, and there's not really a good model I have seen for managing highly-configurable software via a UI with a fingertip level of precision. As an example, compare the capabilities (and interfaces) of ESET NOD32 Antivirus under Windows with ESET Mobile Security under Android. Hello, Some operating systems and interfaces (Windows, OS X, Linux) lend themselves to a keyboard and mouse style of interaction, while others (iOS, Android) are more touch-centric. ESET has always tried to use the most appropriate means of user interaction on whatever platforms its products run on. A recent example of this is the introduction of the eShell text-mode command line interface in its Windows Server products, most of which were formerly only manageable via GUI. In future builds, it would be useful to see better module logging. Based on my current system information, changes are not logged as events, although they occasionally are. Thanks for this as better module change logging would give the user better overview of the software in the event something stopped working or a feature did not behave exactly as it had previously.
