This would be great if it can be done. :thumb: I'll ask Tony about it.

It seems to me that the Drop Rights option would have to be selected before entering Shadow Mode and I don't see how it would be possible to 'toggle' back and forth when in Shadow Mode (that would be truly remarkable). I'm betting that if/when Tony does implement the DR option, once we are in Shadow Mode the only way to change the DR option would be to restart our system.

The Shadow, that would be my wish :) I know, that could be impossible to do so, but it would be nice if it works.

    Hi everyone,
I don't want to disturb this great thread but I have started a forum (with Tony's knowledge and permission). It's a bit plain and I am rusty at forum making so I hope it that it "floats" :) and is useful in some way.

Tony did not want to make another forum because he was worried about spammers damaging his site.

    best wishes

    Patrick

I noticed that Shadow Defender is & has been linked to on here for some time -http://xoslab.com

They "appear" to be offering Easy File Locker as FREEWARE, & is the ONLY App on there ?

Does anybody know anything about EFL, and/or their "connection" with SD ?

I meant to mention this before now, but forgot :(

    TIA

malwarebytes is blocking the website as potentially dangerous.

Cyberman also mentioned this mbam flag which I'm sure is a false positive. I've written to Malwarebytes to try and find out what is going on and to get it whitelisted. There is nothiing wrong with the forum as far as I know. It's a standard well known forum software hosted with a legitimate company. I know that the software was clean before I uploaded it, funnily enough, checked with Mbam and Avast :) . Maybe it flagged up because the forum has the words defender and shadow or it could be when I was trying to get the dns set up and trying different forum softwares. I'll let you know when I hear something from Malwarebytes.

It isn't the first time that Shadowdefender has been flagged as malicious by malwarebytes.

I wonder how many members at Wilders have overlooked the post in this thread announcing the new SD forum. I hope to see all the SD users here at Wilders signed up soon.

I'm not sure. this has been the go-to forum for anything related to SD for quite a while, therefore I think it has a lot of exposition.

I've written to mbam but have not received a reply.
I have the backed up database and the whole web folder of the site on my pc and I use mbam and avast with no problem but I don't use the web part of mbam just as an on demand scanner. It's very annoying, there is no offensive content or virus files or malware or anything of that nature. I've never like the web bad reputation flaggers, they get it wrong too much.

Another instance like this happened to me recently when in gmail. A person who has been writing to me for some time was suddenly
flagged as a spammer and I didn't discover it until a week after, she thought I was just not replying to email. I couldn't understand what the flagging software might have flagged. So many words out of an offensive context still get flagged. I only use mbam on demand when a downloaded file comes in because when I used all it's other aspects, I was too trusting and it was too vigorous and ripped a hole in my system where I had to do a re-installation of the operating system.

MBAM web filter is one of the worst in the market...i wonder why people use the Pro version instead of just the on-demand one...

    Hi atomomega
I agree with you there, been using the Full Pro version it since Aug 2008, and had may be 30 to 40 warning in that time.

    Hi sdmod
I am not inferring anything is wrong with the new SD forum you have setup in your own time, just reporting to Cutting_Edgetech the result I got.

    With regards
