I had a Windows Home Server that backed every computer up at night and it woke up all my home computers each day and did an incremental backup with rules of

    1. keep first backup forever
    2. Keep daily backups for a week
    3. Keep weekly backups for 2 months
    3. Keep monthly backups for 2 years

It did this with the data drives also.

Computer got a virus or crashed I just put in the USB stick and presto an hour later computer and data recovered. I also run CrashPlan offsite so most I would lose is an hours data.

So if someone can recommend something like the above in a backup strategy or better, it is just unclear from Paragon Documentation what all this stuff does and I have been reading up for days before posting.

Maybe someone could point me to some scripts that could be easily edited or some sort of step by step process.

I am thinking maybe an icon on the desktop to backup and shut-down would be good, trying to save power ;-)

Any help on any of the above would be greatly appreciated.

If you want a centralized backup server that handles the backups of other devices over the network, we are coming out with an incredible solution... https://www.paragon-software.com/medium-large-business/protect-and-restore/

We are polishing the program and are expecting to be releasing it very soon. I am currently using it and it's amazing.

Sounds quite expensive. It is for a home network so the budget is limited to personal level not business to enterprise.

I asked in another post what exactly do I need to backup each time with UEFI windows 8 install. I want to do incremental and that does not seem to be an option if I backup all drive C:?

    Thanks for getting back.
