I have a user who is getting the red Application Modification detected warning, referring to MS Outlook. The warning refers to Outlook.exe
This appears to have happened after I did various updates last week, MS updates including SP3 for Office 2003.
He is using Windows XP, and Outlook 2003.
The problem is that we cannot either Deny or Approve. I'm assuming this is because he's not logged on as administrator (domain user). But because this is an Outlook related problem, he needs to log on as himself, not administrator. Note that this user is a member of the Administrators group.

Has anyone ever seen something like this ? Any ideas what I can try ?

    Thanks Marcos,
after a short delay, a message says Modification Failed

Actually this user has been living with some unresolved Outlook problems for a while, he usually starts Outlook in Safe Mode.
If I don't get any easy solution today, I think I'll just re-install Outlook, and see if that helps.

Please create a Process Monitor log and capture all operations from the point when the prompt window appears until the user clicks a button and an error is displayed. When done, compress the log, upload it to a safe location and PM me the download link.

    Hi Marcos
Thanks for your PM with recommendations. We've decided to get a new PC for this user - too many / various problems, and the PC is nearly 10 years old anyway.
    Appreciate your help.
