ESET File Security cluster installation

Hi,

I need to install ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server Cluster. Is this software cluster aware and what additional configuration I have to do to install it on cluster?

thank you for your link, but I found this link and I don't see any mentioned that ESET File Security is cluster aware, or what additinional tasks to do for installation into cluster server ESET File Security,
As I see only ESET NOD32 Antivirus isnt cluster avare?

I believe that EFSW, like ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition, is not technically "cluster aware" but is able to be installed in a cluster environment. EFSW has automatic server exclusions and I'm not aware of any additional configurations that are needed with EFSW.

If someone has further information regarding specific exclusions or configurations of EFSW in a cluster, this would be helpful information to know.

 

Hi,
I installed EFSW on hyper-v cluster. I added exclusion on virtual machine folder: C:\ClusterStorage.

But during vms startup I get following error:

If I disable eset antivirus errors disappear during vm startup.
I can not run this software on hyper-v?

ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server(EFSW) is cluster aware but you will need to make additional changes to the configuration.

- Open EFSW and enter the advanced settings by clicking "F5." This should open another window with the advanced setup tree.
- Go to "Computer protection-----Antivirus and antispyware-----Real-time file system protection"
- Highlight "Real-time file system protection"
- Click on the "Setup" button next to "ThreatSense engine parameter setup"
- Go to "Extensions" and uncheck "Scan all files"
- In this list will be the file extensions that will be scanned, make sure the following file extensions do NOT appear in the list:

.edb
.sdb
.log
.chk
.jrs
.ldf
.mdf
.vhd

If any of these file extensions appear in the list, highlight it and click on "Remove"

"ThreatSense engine parameter setup" \ "Extensions is empty". "Scan all files" is selected. Should I add these extensions to skip them from scanning?

I still get errors on hyper-v when starting virtual servers
