Poll includes all work environments: SOHO to large corporate. If you choose "none" only do so if your work could/should use an antivirus but does not. If you choose "other" please state which antivirus your work uses in the comments.
    Thanks

By default - Kaspersky. In general no problems with it. Though I got local admin and changed it for CIS on my office PC.

What are the free small business av's? I think MSE and maybe Comodo? Any others? I don't need one for a server. Not sure if Fortinet is free for small business or not.

I recently changed careers, but McAfee Enterprise over the 11 years I worked with my prior employer. It wouldn't be my choice of AV, but McAfee's Enterprise products are much better than their home products. Our admin was a McAfee fanatic. We debated back, and fourth all the time about security issues. I worked for Urban County Government. Our LAN had around 200 workstations, and our WAN had thousands if I had to guess.

I'm a bit confused, not sure I can place a vote in this poll. We do not use an anti-virus at my organization. I suppose we could, but why? We don't need an anti-virus. Since we have no need, the should part is not applicable. As I read the above, I guess I cannot vote "none".o_O

The poll seem to presume that everyone is using an anti-virus or should be using one.

That's where the "could/should" comes into the equation...

Oh, the semantic and hermeneutics disputes. They are common, but even more common in this section IMO. :D

We are using an outdated version of Kaspersky. It would be better to use the most recent version, but I am waiting for the offsite IT guy to install it.

It has missed two trojans lately - 0access, and one of the other guys at work got some downloader recently. The downloader as launching at startup and trying to open a malicious website. Access to the website was blocked was Kaspersky however.

Where i used to work everyone had their own Windows log in accounts, most of the guys that only needed the PC to look for information had locked down accounts with no write permissions etc.

Do you that the Business decision for the selection of an Antivirus software has a lot to do with Volume Discounts? It seems like I see a lot of Businesses using McAfee.

Must be, because I see McAfee everywhere and Sophos only a few times. The rest I don't remember, except maybe Norton once.
