What is this volume/partition?

I realize this may very well be a dumb question rooted in lack of sleep.

I've a very new OS install of Win 7 Home Premium x64 on an older laptop. I've installed Paragon Backup and Recovery Home and created a backup capsule, which now contains one backup.

I've just noticed or realized there is a volume or partition I cannot account for, and I wonder what its purpose is and if I should get rid of it. I am referring to "Basic Hard Disc MBR 0" which is 1.37Gb but only has 1Kb used.

Aside from the Paragon Backup Capsule, this O/S is very vanilla (ordinary). The laptop has a variety of media apps, libreoffice, and that's about it. As you can see I don't have (or want) any sort of recovery partition.

Is there any way to confirm whether or not I need "Basic Hard Disc MBR 0"?
Could I image the whole drive with Paragon (sore the image on a separate drive) and then delete "Basic Hard Disc MBR 0" to see if anything bad happens?

Have a look in the BIOS. Do you see two drives?

i think its some turbo memory or builtin cache drive, map the windows temp files and windows prefetch there, free speed boost
