Not really a fan of total suites like this because of heavyness, and they are usually behind on protection technology. It seems this uses Kaspersky 2013 engine, so now it is up to date, but that took quite a while and I read that KAV/KIS 2014 beta is around the corner so it'll be not too long before it is behind again.

Have to agree. While I do like and use Kaspersky, I started out with pure then realized it does not update
annually like KIS/KAV. I now use KIS and get the newest version every year.

I haven't checked out this new version yet, but if it is like previous versions, the backup is pretty worthless, and the parental control is one of the best you can get. Overall a nice package, but I likely won't use it as I prefer to split these feature between other products.

Yes. But not always keep pace with the new release of KIS is convenient: for example, KIS 2013 continues to have serious problems. On the contrary, PURE 3 is much more stable. I would recommend!;)

Good point :p I recently tried KIS 2013 and it's lighter than 2012, but it still had some issues even though it's been released half a year ago.
