The issues with the Outlook 2013 will be fixed in the upcoming service release. In the mean time, you can disable the plugin in the Email client integration section of the Email client protection setup. Users of ESET NOD32 Antivirus do not lose virtually anything by disabling the integration as emails received via POP3/IMAP will be scanned anyways.

Exactly how is that disabled? I tried removing/unchecking in Eset UI. Also deleted the addin within Outlook 2013. However when the PC is rebooted, cat comes back. Every time...

Under Computer, Real-time, HIPS and Anti-Stealth are the only items enabled.
Under Web and Email, only Anti-Phishing protection is enabled.

Do I need to uninstall reinstall?

    Thanks

    MS Outlook 2013
    1. File -> Options -> Add-Ins -> Manage Add-Ins
    2. Deselect the box "ESET Outlook Add-In"

    ESET products
    1. Open ESET NOD32/Smart Security 6
    2. Press the F5 key on your keyboard to access the Advanced Setup window.
    3. Expand Web and email -> Email client protection -> Email client integration.
    4. Deselect "Integrate into Microsoft Outlook"

    Hi Marcos,
Do you have any indication when the service release will be released?
    Andrew.

    Hi Marcos,

I don't know if this issues is because of ESET Antivirus 6 or is because of something else.

In my friend PC he had installed Trial version of ESET Antivirus 6 (64 bit) and he also got Office 2013 professional Plus (32 bit) Final. when he opens any XLS or XLSX file after few seconds or after doing any activity in any xls/xlsx file, Excel 2013 crashes (Office 2013 is updated to latest). There are no third party plugins enabled in Excel 2013.

Note: He does not have any issues with Word 2013 or PowerPoint 2013.

Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate with SP1 (64 bit)

    Application Error from Event Log
    Screenshots enclosed for reference.

Don't know what is causing Excel 2013 to crash in his PC. Is it because of ESET Antivirus 6 ?

    Thanks and Regards
    Rafales
