The case for Scan Control(s) !

Question on Scan Control(s) !

Just wondering....

Question #1:
If I were to do a "System Testing / Full System Scan", would I get the same complete scan as when I check all of the options in the "System Testing / Scan Control", move all the scan items to "Current Scan List" window, and then "Start Scanning"?

Question #2:
What about "Normal Scan", and "Quick Scan" commands? What are they equivalent to in terms of the items which appear under the "System Testing / Scan Control" ?

The Help file is your friend Please read the help file for a list of all the tests.
Here are two examples:

1.Full System Scan

The full system scan will perform the following tasks:

System Files CRC32
Live Process Files
Live Process Memory Space
Memory Objects
Memory Mutexes
Registry & File Traces
Services & Drivers (NT\2K)
Scan All Logical Drives

2. Quick Scan

The quick scan will perform the following tasks:

System Files CRC32
Live Process Files
Registry & File Traces
Services & Drivers (NT\2K)
Scan In %WINDIR%

If you open the file "Quick Scan.txt" in the TDS-3\config\scans\ directory you can include/exclude the types of scans the 'Quick Scan' performs

Ya think they named it the help file cause it helps?

 

I suppose Help files usually do!

 

The helpfiles in the various DiamondCS products are more educative manuals. And they do help too when reading them at least.
Where do you think i find so many answers on user's questions, except from the many support emails in the past, own experience, two whole users forums and the helpfiles. Quite a remarkable database all together, partly in my own memory.
