I probably use Opera these days more than Fx. I will say that Firefox (#2 series) changed my entire attitude to browsing after trying to surf with the sluggish & basically rubbish IE 7. So, in that respect, yes, I suppose I am a bit of a Firefox fan. ;)

I used Opera but on my 64-bit OS its email client malfunctions. I like IceDragon but it has some issues on my 64-bit OS, the same with FireFox. So now I use Waterfox. It was difficult to choose between Waterfox, Cyberfox and Pale Moon 64-bit.

I'm starting to like the portable version of Chromium (without the Google adware) now that it works with Tampermonkey :D

Have been playing with Sleipnir. It's a surprisingly decent browser with a few quirks - I guess I am too used to Opera at this point. I can confirm that it uses hardware acceleration, at least in the Microsoft tech demos.

The bad so far? No "AwesomeBar", and no smooth scrolling. Get these into the browser and I dare say this will be a great contender :D

It's the only browser I use at the moment at home.

    It is somewhat buggy:
After having it running for a long time sometimes pressing Ctrl F to search the current web page stops working.

When resuming from hibernation and my laptop is running slowly for a little bit,
often Sleipnir thinks it has crashed and shuts down and gives the option to restart it (which will reload any tabs that were open) - when it has actually not crashed.

However, I can put up with these bugs for now, as I prefer Sleipnir to other browsers.

Version 4 is going to be released soon for Windows (already released for Mac) which should solve a number of issues. I think it will be a good contender after that. :)

Ive been toying with the idea of using maxthon for a while now.Any information on resource usage etc.?
The browser im using at the moment (comodo dragon) seems to be a bit heavy and is noticeably taxing the cpu with spikes etc.:argh:

Are you sure it's not caused by Adobe Flash player? Since this last version of AFP is the most resource hungry version yet for me anyway :thumbd:

Actually i think you are correct as since the last adobe flash update the cpu spikes have intensified,
I may just disable it and see how it fares.
    Thanks.:thumb:

Yeah. Hopefully some one will find a new exploit in AFP so Adobe will have to release a new version soon LOL :p

Problem with browsers is finding one which isnt heavy on resources and suffering from bloat and vaporware in any form.
They just get heavier and heavier to the point of being non usable,

A lot of tabs open can be a problem. Some one mentioned that they sometimes have around 50 tabs open at the same time , I got max 10 open, since it's easier that way, and less resources is being used. :thumb:

That's one of reasons why I like Sleipnir so much. Each tab is a separate process which gets closed as soon as you close the tab.
