    At last !!

    But i'm not sure it will fix John's issue. Maybe he'll have to reinstall MBAM.

    Yes there is, just click ignore, add to whitelist or whatever they offer to bypass detection of this specific FP.

    I'm not sure what my problem is - I have uninstalled MBAM, uninstalled and reinstalled Sumo and I still can't get to Sumo's server to check updates. It's happening on all 3 pc's - XP, 7 & 8. Maybe it's my connection to Cox - my ISP?At this point I am about to give up....

    I'd suggest to wait for MBAM update, when they'll finally cancel the ban on the IP. Wait'n'see !

    Probably the best solution, instead of spinning my wheels. I'm not a patient person, but sometimes I have to be - lol!

    Hi Kyle, today when I opened up SUMo the following popped up:

    Untitled.png

    and then:

    UntitledB.png

    That's the first time it's ever happened, it opened fine the second time I tried.

    ... thank you !
    But, to be honest, there's absolutely NO controversy : SUMo is not malware.

    The controversy is about its sponsors in the "full installer" because some people want software for free with no ad during install.

    Thanks for being on top of things, Kyle. I sent message to you regarding RegSeeker being Beta - but before you probably got my message, it was out of Beta. You're on top of things - I appreciate your work and efforts... thanks.

    Thank you John.

    I'm doing my best to stay on the edge ! Feedback and help from users like people from this forum are my most valuable ressources !

    Got both of your email before my daily maintenance -> Nothing tagged as beta.

    Kyle, I've said it before but SUMo is awesome. I'm a paranoid PC security freak, and I trust your software to help me keep my systems up to date. Thanks!

    That said, when I upgraded to 3.5.2 last night, I had EMET pop up and it terminated SUMo after the setup finished and launched SUMo. Now today, I can't seem to run SUMo... it launches, scans the programs as usual, but after that it just locks up, no error or anything. I need to kill it via task manager, and then EMET pops up again saying it closed SUMo for DEP mitigation. In the Event viewer, the following log entry is repeated dozens of times:

    Code:
    Log Name:      Application
    Source:        EMET
    Date:          2/21/2013 12:43:01 AM
    Event ID:      2
    Task Category: None
    Level:         Error
    Keywords:      Classic
    User:          N/A
    Computer:      EDITED
    Description:
    EMET_DLL module logged the following event:

    EMET detected DEP mitigation and will close the application: C:\Program Files\KC Softwares\SUMo\SUMo.exe
    Event Xml:
    <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
      <System>
        <Provider Name="EMET" />
        <EventID Qualifiers="0">2</EventID>
        <Level>2</Level>
        <Task>0</Task>
        <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords>
        <TimeCreated SystemTime="2013-02-21T05:43:01.000000000Z" />
        <EventRecordID>14150</EventRecordID>
        <Channel>Application</Channel>
        <Computer>EDITED</Computer>
        <Security />
      </System>
      <EventData>
        <Data>EMET_DLL module logged the following event:

    EMET detected DEP mitigation and will close the application: C:\Program Files\KC Softwares\SUMo\SUMo.exe</Data>
      </EventData>
    </Event>

    Any ideas?
