cryptsync - A folder sync tool with encryption

Interesting. I am currently using cloudfogger, but I may switch to an open source app..

 

This is a great idea. I would never use cloud services unless I had complete control of my data and held the private key myself (and only me).

 

I use Boxcryptor right now
As far as I know both Boxcryptor and Cloudfogger use AES256 and never have access to any un-encrypted data, I have used both but prefer the former.
I also would switch to an open source solution.

 

Remember, this whole "cloud" thing isn't knew. It's the same Internet with fancier storefronts. A web hosting package can cost you very, very little and allow you to upload/download whenever you want and you have have much greater control. Or, create your own "cloud storage" with a NAS box. All kinds of possibilities where you don't have to hand over your data to these big "cloud services" all the while accomplishing the same thing.
