Always download from first party sites.

I never download from Neowin.net | never. They are partly in the software announcement business, they often post information that lacks completeness, such as missing changelogs or none, broken links, etc.

Download from the developer (or) vendor website.

Just installed here. I also realized I can change my file associations and have Firefox open PDF's from disk too (works fine). Going to try it for a while instead of installing Adobe and see how it goes.. Lol...

It probably is the same. :D
Actually Norton has been keeping up for at least the last 10 Firefox updates though. I will give them points for that.

I am running FF 19 and it is doing just great. I think it is a keeper.

Used FF 19 since it was a beta--always worked fine. Haven't found any PDF files it didn't work with. Yes, a keeper.
PDF--portable document format. That was a question on Jeopardy today.

This is a recommended procedure when in doubt, but it doesn't need to become an unbreakable dogma.

On topic, if we start downloading something that doesn't even resemble a Firefox setup file, we will certainly know. Most people here aren't total computer illiterates AFAIK.

Also worth noting that several download/announcement sites help the software devs/vendors in several ways (and some even have formal agreements/partnerships with devs/vendors).

BTW, the regular lack of changelogs/release notes is a source of confusion. This is an issue that needs to be addressed asap.
