    Soz, i ment Windows 7 Firewall advanced settings. Block in/outbound and manually set my own rules. I feel alot more safer when using a 3rd party firewall tho like comodo or outpost but as i dont download cracked software and visit dodgy websites i dont really need. Not sure if Win7 FW blocks other pcs on the network, like atm theres 3 computers + Sky HD On Demand connected to the router and sometimes 2 iphones streaming media from iplayer etc, i would like to block everything except the router. I have no idea if Win7 Firewall will do this in block in/out mode.

    Just formated pc, using same setup except EAM in paranoid mode :D

    Well After much deliberation i have gone back to comodo but im using sandboxie to isolate my browser.
    There appears to be a problem with the av and firewall not working correctly within the comodo virtual environment.
    There is a thread about it at the comodo forum.

    Correct, I was thinking why the AV does not catch even EICAR in the sandbox, but in the un-sandboxed it doeso_O

    So then I set my AV to auto scheduled scan the sandbox everyday.

    Thats right.I have tested the eicar file within comodo sandbox and it is not detected at all.:eek:
    I think they have created a virtual environment so powerful that even their own security product cannot even get in which depending on your viewpoint may or may not be a good thing.:D

    You can turn off the discovery services. Right now, my laptop can not see the other devices on my network, and the devices can't see my laptop. I have only verified this through "Network" in "Computer" and didn't do anything advanced to test this as I'm a networking noob. But, it seems like this is exactly what you're talking about.

    Happy Days! Online armor is working now with Chrome. There was some kind of conflict before because I was using sandboxie. I've always loved OA and now that comodo firewall was causing me issue, I can use it again.

    Yeah, MBAM doesn't even detect EICAR either. I presume to keep databases thin.

    Loaded DBs--may be different than actual pF DB usage==avg/ymmv

    MBAM=40K
    MSE=80K
    Comodo=80K
    Emsisoft=200K

    Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013 (great detection, great protection, no granular settings :( , really great and customer/technical service at chat support :) )
    Comodo FW v6 (keeps getting better and harder to move to another FW brand lol)
    Sandboxie x64 (silent stalwart, thanks Jmonge :D )
    Shadow Defender (Jmonge you don't know what you are missing ;) )

    Bitdefender has finally made a product that has made me ditch my all time favorite Avira Premium and my newest crush Kaspersky Internet Security)

    Comodo Firewall, i only started appreciating it more and more since i tried to shift to other firewalls like Outpost, PrivateFW, KIS. None of them were as perfect fit to my needs as COMODO FW is.
    Great job Melih and the Comodo team all over the world, but please please would someone bring back the simple interface of v5.12?

    I am back to one of my lightest and less obtrusive setups ever: AG + HMP + OpenDNS.
    Thinking about adding PrivateFirewall...

    I noticed that too, that the sandbox of comodo is not entirely working as intended ?
    I don't mean to offend anyone but I'm having trouble defining the sandbox, is it working too well or is it bugged or ?
    Don't mean to be overly critical, but just concerned like Beethoven1770.

    I installed sandboxie again as well to sandbox the webbrowser.
    And to be honest, sandboxie is still the best sandbox when it comes to settings/options. Reading many positive comments about sandboxie made me re-evaluate the use of this program and I was thinking about it myself to add sandboxie to a security setup again.

    No matter how many setups I try to use, I always seem to go back to what's in my signature.

    I think I should just stick with what I got HaHaHa.
