Hello, I can say, on my system at least, this beta fixes the compatibility problems with ExploitShield.
That is one of many improvements We're working through our internal QA now and should have it released officially soon. I'll let everyone know as soon as we have a final changelog. Let me know what you find in the meantime - there aren't any specific user-facing changes, it's all under-the-hood.

I don't understand this as I've seen the padlock icon ever since those builds - even when it turned green for a short time.
There were definitely some scenarios where it wouldn't show properly every time. It took us a while to diagnose it but this build should hopefully finally fix it globally.
i can say also that i have now set up some clients with wsa and they have been very happy. it actually detected and cleaned some stuff off one of their computers right after being installed that mcafee missed, so working well for us.
As for me, this beta has fixed the "@@" keyboard problem (2 instead of 1 @-sign) that had been going on for quite a while! (see thread: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=338302)
And on top of those good news at least my system seems (?) to be even more snappy with the new beta of WSA than already before!? Okay, Firefox 19 beta had an update too and I don't know if I am maybe imagining things here , but performance wise (not talking about scanning now, but "felt (non-)drag" on system when just being loaded) this new version seems to have improved!? (Or maybe my system has found silently another core (No. 5?), I don't know! ) Whatever the reason is, imagining things or not: it's just FUN to work on such a wonderful snappy system! - Some people can't understand this, stating performance would nowadays be a so called non-issue, but those guys should maybe think of it like having an rather old car that suddenly runs more silent, faster and needs less fuel all at the SAME time AND in addition you have a very beautiful female co-driver on board, smiling at you! - It's like having a new one. Talking about a car here, as I said. So thank you Joe & Webroot, your software and especially this update is really .. well .. I will say it out loud and not be ashamed .. -> SEXY! Or in other words: v8.0.2.103 feels like spring time while the streets are still full of snow! And see: @, €, [, ], ², etc. ... no problem anymore here on QWERTY! And especially for the usual nay-sayers: I am still not infected with anything! Else! (Checked it today again with a few on-demand and rootkit scanning programs: system is not only super fast but also CLEAN! In short: GREAT BUILD! (If it has problems, it's possible of course, I haven't seen them so far and I do very much like what I see / do (not) "feel"!) p.s.: yes, of course you can call me a fanboi now if it comforts you, I SIMPLY DON'T CARE!

Right now, wait .. was that - your - proposal? Let's say it this way: regardless what and how much mascots the competition brings to the start and how short the skirts of them will be .... Joe's AV-ART (to me it's still an mind-boggling art to make all that possible with such a small 707 KB client!) and baby called WSA is the REAL thing that makes women totally .. .. uninteresting to men while they are in front of a computer which is running the by far lightest and fastest thing there is - until a new build! - Don't ask me how exactly but I know what I am talking about. Yessss, v8.0.2.103 is better than pr0n, that's what I wanted to say without saying it, but since you - sort of - asked ... Well .. WHO would have thought that Wilders forum is full of freaks!? Let's get to that immediately after having some better looking test results, shall we? (If they manage to do that somehow, and maybe Joe will soon tell us what about they talked to that testing organization recently and with what results, ... man, competition will be blown out of the water and big slow bloatware will rot on shelves! - But sure, mascots aren't totally unimportant too and we should have a voting here when first candidates approach the clearing. But honestly .. making such a small and fast AV program is really "sexy" to me, I have great respect for that outstanding work (and I am sure the other AV vendors admire that too!) and I just like great software! Bloatware? Any developer can do that. - But I like the effort a few people put into SMALL and EFFICIENT programs and that won't change even if some day in future 32 GB RAM systems are the standard, doesn't matter to me. - Still not running bloatware and enjoying instead fine software of developers making the extra effort to have optimal performance. When this version is released as live version people should give it a try, especially those that don't do malware testing for fun (being only "happy" if something infects their system finally they can then brag about and give points on youtube ) but are just regular users who want to have a very fast and also clean system. - Soon I feel comfortable to switch even more persons to WSA *ONLY*, leaving (in their case) the umbrella behind and enjoying new speed and the feeling of having a new born computer. That build is definetely a huge step in that direction also because the @@-problem was a severe thing (to me) and one reason for my hesitation to give WSA to the normal, clueless 0815-user that just wants an AV out of their face (and can't cope with fp's or anything that pops up in front of him/her or doesn't work as it should). I am NOW (starting with this beta version) really confident that Webroot will be soon the big player they try to be for years. So far Joe & Co did accomplish to fix EVERY single bug and problem known to me and don't forget, the program is able to run along other solutions in real-time! Which is a magic that others can't do (and don't want to). - And I did once use it as 2nd defense line, now I dropped the 1st line a while ago and WSA is on it's own and doing fine! - If you ask me it's a great strategy to NOT try to push away other AV solutions which are installed already for so called "compatibility reasons" the way other vendors do that. - But let's see what happens, right. Anyone else "feeling" a speed increase with that new build? Or am I hallucinating? - I really think that the new Firefox 19 b5 version is great (=snappy) also, but most certainly WSA is very much involved too!
But... But how do you make a mascot out of a speed? ;.; Okay, no sexy mascot. We'll just need to deal with our sexy fast computers instead. Just don't get too close. Kissing a fan grill isn't too good an idea. XD Edit: IIRC, there were changes planned that would definitely increase apparent speed and lighten the load in a lot of cases, so this is likely that stuff.
Re: WSA v8.0.2.98 Beta Just had the disappearing padlock occur in v8.0.2.103 Beta. Perhaps, it is because I still use XP.
