Aaah Latest build of version 6 kills desktop mode in windows 8 64bit

I've had to remove the latest version from the pc.
As soon as I remove a driver say for updating on the reboot as soon as you leave the metro interface the pc hangs.
The only way to fix it is too boot in safe mode and run the nod32 removal tool. You then can get back into desktop mode.
I originally thought it was due letting nod32 update automatically. So I downloaded the full install and re-installed it and it was fine.
Today I did another driver update which required the old drivers to be removed first and pc updated and once again desktop mode resulted in a crash.
I removed nod from safe mode again and successfully updated the pc without problems. However nod is off the pc for now and I will wait for another few new builds before I go back.
Annoyingly event viewer doesn't list anything and the task manager just showed everything idling and no cpu hogging.

Not really.
If I can get to the desktop the eset icon is always there. It's just when I when uninstall or update any driver that on reboot the desktop can't be accessed.
Still maybe related though.

 

Yes Geosoft, that pretty well describes why I had to ditch both ESS 5 and 6.

 

I haven't seen this problem at all with EAV6 and Win 8 64-bit pro. That said I run StartisBack and always boot straight to the desktop.

 

Well zero problems installing drivers since the removal of nod32. So the antivirus looks the culprit.

 

Back to version 5 and zero problems. Guess I'll have to wait for a few more releases of ver 6 before I try again.
