I agree completely, the actual icon is an established trademark. My intentions are not to change the original design of the icon at all, but yet give the user an alternative to personalize their shortcut icon.

Wow, that would actually be an amazing new feature. I would love to have an item indicator on my Sandboxie icon. I completely agree with your general idea of what the icon should look like/be

I think this one looks better, as does your icon for ES. I'd say you have quite a talent for this stuff.

But as a traditionalist, and minimalist, I do prefer the simple/classic one already in place. Even though yours is more pleasing to the eye.

More... more...more... you're gonna get people being greedy now. I want one for Comodo FW v.5. quick launch bar. Even just something like the shape of the shield you made for ES, IMO would look better than the one Comodo uses. And maybe a different color too than the red.

Now get to it!... * cracks whip * lol

Ooops, skipped you on reply there Amit....hahaha, once again I'm not with it.

    Anyways....

    Here's how you do it

    1. Download the Sandboxie image I made onto your hard drive

    2. Go to the icon converter link I provided in my original post http://iconverticons.com/online/, click browse to locate that image from your hard drive. Once you locate the image file, click the convert button. As soon as the conversion is finished, click the middle button next to the windows icon...it should be called "Download.ico" (This will download the windows icon to your desktop)

    3. Right click on the Sandboxie shortcut, go to properties, Locate and click on the "change icon" button. A new window will open, browse the location of where the sandboxie icon is at, and then hit ok.

Icon should be changed to the Sandboxie icon I made

It has been awhile since I've been on Windows XP, since I'm a Windows 7 user now, but if my memory is correct...that should be the exact way to do it.

Why thank you, much appreciated...that means a lot.

I am a minimalist myself, so I know what you mean

If I have the time to make the icons, then I'm more than happy to make them for you all.

Let me see what I can whip up.

HaHaHa... :Cracking the whip makes a frightening sound - I may have to hide now :ninja: lol

If anything, I wish the sandboxie icon uses an alternative color. Yellow isn't exactly to my taste but whatever :p

Just an alternative, not a replacement. :thumb:

It's up to the person if they want to use it or not.

    Yes, although it's a bit cheesy :D
For such a remarkable program, the website and icon , could be better. (for uncertain newcomers ) However for all of us who know, how awesome the software is, it's totally irrelevant.

Their icon right now looks like a slice of Pizza so anything would be an improvement over what they have now.

Radeon, great looking icon :thumb: I far prefer it to the original, which looks like a slice of pepperoni pizza to me. Not that l dislike pizza :D but for a tray icon it should look more professional like yours :)

To get this is in icon format, try this website instead http://www.converticon.com/ - See if that works

    1. On the website, press the "Get Started" button

    2. A new window will open up, locate the file on your hard drive (Make sure to select Image (PNG, gif, Jpeg) under the Save as type), or else the image I did won't show up. Click Save when done.

    3. When the image shows up in the window, click the "Export" button to convert and save it to ico format.

If that doesn't work, send me a dummy email and I'll send it to you in the desired format. I would send it to you here, but Wilders doesn't allow that file type.

Wow, very neat icon RADEON0101, I'd love to see it used by SBIE! Like others have said, SBIE could use a bit of a facelift (or at least an updated icon). :D
